Image:Mangaladevi.jpg for Mangalore Article[edit]
Hello Crazysoul. The Mangalore Article is almost on its way towards a GA. The only problem is your Image Mangaladevi.jpg doesn't have a copyright tag and this has been brought to notice by the GA reviewer. You just have to supply a copyright tag to the Image. - I have applied the {{attribution}} tag to this image which will do for now. But I notice that on your other images you have the {{PD-self}} tag which only you can apply to your image. - After you have done that, also inform Dr. Cash (who is the GA reviwer for the article) that all his suggestions have been implemented. The Image has been supplied with a copyright tag. Skyline Image[edit]
I know the Town Hall Image is not the best Image for the article. Just because the article was a GA-nominee, we had to just add the town hall Image. NITK Image[edit]
Actually, the problem is the NITK Image is very small and the institution is not very clearly visible. In the polytechnic image, the institution is visible. Uploading images[edit]

As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. Hi Crazysoul. Would you be opposed to this image being deleted? I think it's a bit too low in quality, and we already have plenty of cheetah images. Maybe you could take a better one if you go back there? Also, your images have date stamps in the corner. This isn't so good... First off, You have created a page that cites sources which are not reliable at all. This is not acceptable to Wikipedia as both the sources you have cited are self-published cooking blogs. And to break your bubble, the two sources you have cited as references say that Patrodo is a Konkani dish and not anything else.
Second of all, this page you have created is called 'Patrode'. Patrode is a Konkani dish, and yes it is a Konkani patent. If you want to mention Maharashtra and Gujarat, please create pages for 'Aluwadi' and 'Patra' respectively. Mangalore is the chief port city of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located about 350 kilometres (217 mi) west of the state capital Bangalore. Bound by the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghat mountain ranges, Mangalore is the administrative headquarters of the Dakshina Kannada district in south western Karnataka. Mangalore developed as a port on the Arabian Sea – remaining, to this day, a major port of India. Lying on the backwaters of the Netravati and Gurupura rivers, Mangalore is often used as a staging point for sea traffic along the Malabar Coast. The city has a tropical climate and lies on the path of the Arabian Sea branch of the South-West monsoons. Mangalore was ruled by several major powers, including the Kadambas, Vijayanagar dynasty, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Hoysalas, and the Portuguese. The city was a source of contention between the British and the Mysore rulers, Hyder Ali and Tippu Sultan. Eventually annexed by the British in 1799, Mangalore remained part of the Madras Presidency until India's independence in 1947. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge!
