Underbelly (TV series) and TV shows in general

Underbelly uses Template:Infobox Television. The template instructions state that the the figure used in the field "num_episodes" is "The number of episodes currently produced" and not the number of episodes that have aired. If you find other articles where somebody has mistakenly used the number of episodes that have aired you can help by correcting them. --AussieLegend (talk) 12:31, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps the people editing articles like LOST haven't read the template instructions. A lot don't. They just assume. --AussieLegend (talk) 12:48, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

What I "think" isn't really the issue. The instructions for the template are quite clear. The correct value for "num_episodes" is "The number of episodes currently produced". Have you read the instructions? --AussieLegend (talk) 15:01, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

As I said, perhaps the editors of those articles haven't read the instructions or they maybe they don't actually know how many episodes have been produced. --AussieLegend (talk) 02:23, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, the summaries probably still aren't complete as there's an argument for including some more about what the police characters do, but they're better than what they were. --BrianFG (talk) 07:04, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Veronica Mars failed GA nomination

Yo, unfortunately Veronica Mars does not meet the Good article criteria at this time, for reasons stated on the talkpage. If you are looking for a review of the article as opposed to GA status itself, you might want to consider submitting it to peer review. Regards, скоморохъ 13:45, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

RE: Underbelly info

Yes of course. I too have refs, but forgot to add them in. Here they are:

I'll try and work on it now.

Done. I've added all refs from these sources to my contributions. Cheers! - Allied45 (talk) 01:27, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Go for it. Sorry about the refs, my bad!! - Allied45 (talk) 01:33, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

TV box

We generally go by what has "aired", as that shows what was produced. Obviously, there is a difference, because shows produce episodes before they actually air, and they may produce one that never airs. Basically, we update per what airs - that's been the standard practice for a long while. Although, if you have a source that says a show produced 145 episodes in its original run, but only aired 144, then I would say 145 episodes and put the source (with an explaination) with that number.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:43, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

I would say, if someone can find a reliable secondary source that verifies that all have been produced then use that to cite the number. Otherwise, just update every time a new one airs.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:14, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Discography listing

Please use the correct "wikitable" format when creating charts tables or discography tables. There shouldn't be any extra coloring, boldfacing or fonts put into these.... you can see WP:CHARTS for the basic format. Thanks. - eo (talk) 15:11, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Christina Milian

Hi, album covers are only allowed in album articles unless there's critical commentary of the cover. It was removed from the article for the same reason that album covers aren't allowed in discographies - see WP:FU#Unacceptable use. Unfree pics can't be used decoratively. Even if a fair use rationale was added, it would've been invalid. Spellcast (talk) 13:22, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Tempest

In case you didn't save the sandbox on your watchlist, I put in the the production info from the book. It still needs organizing and cleaning up, and some of it may not have enough context to stay, but that's pretty much all that was from the book.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:58, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Peer review feedback

Hi, I noticed you have a request in at peer review which has not yet received any response besides the semi-automated script. Have you tried requesting a peer review from the volunteers list? Another idea you might want to try is to review someone else's request (particularly one from the list of requests without responses), then ask that they look at your request. Hope these are helpful suggestions and help to get some feedback for your request soon, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 15:53, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the thanks on the Veronica Mars peer review. You are very welcome. I just thougt of something else and will add it next. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 16:35, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Milian image fair use rationale

Hi Cornucopia. Sorry to disappoint you but I don't believe you can claim fair use on an album cover to illustrate a person. If you carefully read the template you've used, it says that the fair use can only be claimed for the recording in question, so I don't think you can use this image in her article. Have a look around on Wikimedia Commons or see if a Flickr user has an image they'd be prepared to release with the appropriate Commons licence? Sorry I can't help further. Hi; the right place to report this to admins (not to a non-admin?!) is WP:AIV, for future reference... and welcome! TreasuryTagtc 16:08, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

I am having simmilar problems with "Remember"

I barely remember (no pun intended) the episode "Remember (Desperate Housewives)" but I know it is 46th episode, and the season finale. But "Adamdeanhall" or something does not want the truth to be known, and has (judging from his or her talk page) had a history of accusing people of vandalism, unreasonable edits and such. I was wondering if you know if there is anything we can do about this to prevent future POV or unreasonable edits. I might contact someone else too. Yojimbo501 (talk) 19:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw your message (which "Adam" deserved) and think it's unreasonable that he is unjustly accusing people of vandalism and such. He didn't even leave a reason why he undid the edits. If you would put the cite up for disscusion on the episodes list talk page, I will go by some time and leave a comment. Thanks for responding. Yojimbo501 (talk) 03:27, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Has this whole thing been resolved?

I noticed on AdamDeanHalls talk page you put a section which said Thank you for considering our point of view. Does that mean there is no point pursuing the whole Remember number of episodes problem? Has it been resolved? Well, if it has, it hasbeen nice doing buisness with you. Yojimbo501 (talk) 16:22, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

30 Rock

Thanks for volenteering to help. I think we should start with the prose and references. -- Jamie jca (talk) 17:13, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't think the table really works because its just pretty much a copy of what was written above it. -- Jamie jca (talk) 17:45, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

The Rural Juror

Yeah, its pretty good but each section needs to be in paragraph form rather than bullets. Have a look at Pilot (30 Rock) or SeinfeldVision for a guideline. Also, use {{Cite web}} (for reviews) and {{Cite news}} (for news sources) for your references. You will also need some production information. Instances of The Rural Juror, when refaring to the film NOT the episode, should be in italics. Style the lead after the above mentioned episodes articles. A plot section will be needed of no more than 220 words (10 words per minute of duration). If you can't be bothered going through the episode for continuity, thats okay. I'll write the awards section for you once it's been moved to the mainspace, I can also add a screenshot. Also, try and use notable critics for reviews, the rule I use personally is that if the site the review is hosted on doesn't have a wikipedia pagem or it's user generated, it's not notable. Thanks for helping with the 30 Rock articles. -- Jamie jca (talk) 22:19, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

I see you figured it out. -- Jamie jca (talk) 16:38, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

My competitor Special:Contributions/213.42.23.71 and I are in an editing war, and it is about List of Desperate Housewives episodes. Could you please do something about this?! If we keep this up, we'll both be blocked from Wikipedia!! AdamDeanHall (talk) 23:41, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey whats happened with Adam Dean Hall?

Maybe you didn't see it somehow but I'm ust curious as to what the scope is with Adam. Has this all been resolved? Is Remember stable now? Thanks. Yojimbo501 (talk) 15:41, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah... I think it is resolved. Adam left a note saying he'd be banned if he edited it again (which I don't think is apropriate, but I wont get into that). Well, hope its all been resolved. Yojimbo501 (talk) 23:01, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Cassie's second studio album, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 13:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Image size

Per the image use policy, we shouldn't override the default size with a specified image size. Since you're registered you have the option to set your own preferences for image size. Go to "My preferences" and select "Files", there you can reset the default image size for the "thumb" setting. You can go as high as 300px.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:13, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Generally, the only image that needs to be specified is the image in the lead, because it's typically the image that should stand out the most, and the default size (180 px) would be too small. If you adjust your personal preferences it won't be small anymore. Mine are set to 250 px. Their reasoning is that it may be small to you, but someone with a different resolution might see an image that is quite large. So, if the default for them is 180 px, and it appears large because of their personal resolution settings on their computer, then when you specify a specific size of "250 px" then it appears far too large to the other readers. Then they say, "this is too large", and then respecify the image to a smaller size that looks better for them. By making is a default, non-specified size, and having registered users set their own preferences you reduce the risk of this.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:08, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Glad I could be of help. I never knew about the image specifying until recently. I was always resizing everything to 250px too.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:22, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Actually....Cassie does background vocals in the song. It's even in the booklet. [1]Alessandro T C 05:19, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

I didn't think it was notable enough to be in the article either, that's why I didn't put it back in. ≈Alessandro T C 05:34, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Remy Zero

If you got the image from FlickR, you should see about determing the actual copyright and seeing if the image was a personal capture that could be released in the public domain so that it would be free.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 05:12, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, the person that posted it on FlickR isn't the owner apparently. Given that everyone in the image is living, I would assume that you could not claim that there is "no free alternative". Someone has a picture of Remy Zero, we just have to find a free copy of one - whether that comes with the Smallville cast or not.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 05:16, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
You couldn't if they were all alive. The idea behind WP:BLP images is that we can't use screen captures from films to depict actors in their infobox, because they are living and someone can easily snap a picture of them. The fact that no one has snapped a picture is irrelevant to the idea that it could easly be done. The same could be said for this image, but we'll see what the reaction is. The real copyright for the image is listed here. This user nicely provides all the relevant info for the picture. I mean, you could contact the supposed owner of the picture (David Gray) and find out if he would release it under the GDFL. But that's your decision.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 05:24, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Congratulations to you too. I never said that it didn't have enough real world information, that answer I already knew. I said that it didn't have a lot of reviews. I mean, none of them are USA Today, or any other highly respectable new organization. I think it would have a hard time getting through and FAC process without a beefed up Reception section.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:06, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Also, I've noticed that the Moonlight episode titles are "Moonlight episode". Per naming conventions they should be simply "Moonlight", unless several objects share the same name and have articles. For instance, there is Serenity (Firefly episode) Serenity (Firefly vessel) and Serenity (film), plus a couple others. I've put in a request to delete the articles that are "(Moonlight)", because they already exist and are redirected to the LOE page. When that is complete (within a day or so), then the current articles need to be moved.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:17, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
I've taken care of the name changes, no need to worry about it.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:34, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Be careful what you add or fix today, since I'm going to work right now and I'll be working on the page there. I work on it in WORD, and then send it to myself back at home where I upload the finished stuff everyday. Just forewarning in case you add or change something, as it could get lost when I upload the newer version.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 11:58, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Kara

I don't think so. It was very brief, barely making a dent in the overall story of the show. It was only a couple of episodes long, and never a whole episode by itself. It's probably more important in Jimmy's section, as it somewhat affected his relationship with Chloe. It really did nothing for Kara.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:08, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok, heading to work again, so be careful what you add. I try to look at the history first before I upload the newer version, but sometimes there's a bit too much to adjust in one sitting.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:27, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Want to know something crappy? I pulled up the most recent version of the page at work; I cleaned up Jimmy and expanded a bit on him; I finished Pete's section completely and then I saved it all. Well, it saved to some temporary folder (as I opened it from an email) and I cannot find the folder. So it's ALL GONE...lol. I was so pissed.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 15:29, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
I was at work, but I don't know the title of the folder. I know from experience that unless you specifically save it to a folder with "Save As", then it automatically saves it to some temporary folder...a folder that I don't know where it is. I'm going to try and search for the file name though when I get back to work this morning. So, hopefully not all is lost.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 10:51, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Not really. There are still 14 source that are errored out, which need to be filled out. I think I have a good quote box for Pete's section I want to add. I was also wondering if characters like Victoria Hardwick, Henry Small, and others with no real world information and very weak (short) story arcs need to be mentioned.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 11:21, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
What do you also think about having a third section that merely lists actors and parts. This way, we don't have to deal with "How come this person isn't on the list, they were in 3 episodes" (speaking more specifically to those doctors that appeared multiple times, but did relatively nothing, but also including people like Victoria and Henry, who don't really do anything special themselves on the show). Thoughts? It could be like "Other characters" or something else.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:03, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
That's kind of the reason I like keeping this in the sandbox for a bit longer, so that we can weed out little details (that actually comprise big results) out. I say we first create the list and list every actor (and their character) who appeared more than 1 time. Then we can see what we find and if we think no one will notice John Doe because he was in the background the entire time and was never officially talked to...then we'll pull him out.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:19, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

A table would take up a lot of space in the article, and be slightly out of place with all the rest of the article. I was thinking of using the two column structure, similar to how Arrested Development has their guest list. That's a rather extensive list that only really comprises about 5 kb of space.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:22, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Doesn't matter. I'm actually watching Ultimate Fighter right now. If you haven't done it in half an hour, then I'll go ahead and start it. I would start on season 1 characters and grab every name that appears in more than one episode. Then just go through the season character pages. At least, that's what I'll do in 30 minutes if it's not already done. You could work on the rest of the references as well, if you'd prefer that.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:32, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Looking at the list, you think we should go ahead and include all the one episode characters as well on the right side? The page is "Characters of Smallville".  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:10, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
I don't think I'll put episode citations there. Nothing plot related is being mentioned, it's merely a list saying this person appeared on the show. They can check IMDb, or watch the show for the opening credits of they need to. I mean, if secondary sources can be found listing all these episodes for each actor, great, but to me it isn't necessary because it isn't something that is controversial.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:24, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
When we finish the "Other characters" we can move it. I finished the first season (I use the actors that the companion books felt were relevant enough to list in the "guest stars" section of each episode). Question, this has been bugging me. How should we classify "Recurring character"? I'm really thinking that if you appear twice, but not as a recurring plot--or as a background character like a doctor--then you're really just a guest star. For instance, Kyle Gallner (Bart), Lee Thompson Young (Victor), and Alan Ritchson (AC) are really just guest stars that happened to appear in two episodes. It wasn't like they were popping up regularly (like Ethan or Sheriff Adams), or had a short story arc (like Victoria and Henry). What do you think? I think we should probably have some definition so that the sections reflect some form of accuracy as far as who is recurring and who is simply a special guest. (P.S. I'll try and finish the rest of the list. I don't have seasons 2 and 3 with me, I left them at work, but I can do 4, 5, and 6 now). Also, don't worry about adjusting the sections till they're all done, or you'll be adjusting continually until they are done. Last note, I was adding EVERYONE that the book listed, but I fell that people like "Receptionist" and "LuthorCorp Scientist" --who probably had speaking roles--are probably so small in the episode that they really aren't "Guest stars", but more stand-ins with speaking lines. What do you think?  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 11:44, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
I saw, I'll do that when I get the characters all in. Right now, I've got my internship for 10 hours today (starting at 11 am), and I'm fighting a terrible cold so I'm a little slow to get things done right now.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 11:40, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

C.o.S. Pictures

Here are some non-free pictures for the main characters without free pictures:

Tom Welling

Kristen Krack

Allison Mack

Please note that these are random websites, and the real info needs to be found. Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 04:58, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Given that the primary article for the main cast will have images from the show, I think only free images should be used for the LOC page. Since we aren't having sections full of information we probably couldn't justify the non-free images like we could on an article devoted entirely to the character. Hold on to them for the character articles though, because I can't stand that picture of Chloe that is up there right now.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 05:09, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
We don't need an image for any main character really, I only placed images on the page because I found a bunch of free ones. They're only there to dress up the article, and you can only dress up articles with images that are free, because non-free images have to meet the fair-use criteria. Having a non-free one simply because another characters happens to have a free one wouldn't be justification. I actually removed Jensen Ackles image because it was crammed in there between Aaron and Erica.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 05:20, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
I've been doing this for a month already (hence why I'm slow in getting the page to the mainspace). Thanks for the good health wish. Get this though, I had season 5 characters done. I mean, flat out done. I went to hit "save page" and the damn power went out and I lost it all. This just isn't my week.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:45, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of So You Think You Can Dance Australia (season 1), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: So You Think You Can Dance Australia. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. Orphaned non-free media (Image:ChristinaMilianSmallville.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:ChristinaMilianSmallville.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Thanks for uploading Image:MilianandDre.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Episodes of DH

I'm sorry but you're wrong ! The episode 100 will be the episode 13 of the Season 5 ! So it means that season 2 has 24 episodes ! Please stop change the episodes numbers ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.50.12.207 (talk) 12:23, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

I was not aware of that. Do you have a reference that proves that? Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 12:26, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Of course, there is any reference but I don't wanna look for because it's logical ! I'm happy to see that you agree ! Because nobody believes me, such as AdamDeanHall, who believes that he's the king of wikipedia ! Thanks =) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.50.12.207 (talk) 13:26, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

SO, the war is finish ! Adam understands what I wanted he understands ! Ouf ! (86.207.180.31 (talk) 14:23, 17 June 2008 (UTC))

Unfortunately, the war is not finished. On the ABC website, it says that "Remember" is only one episode. If you believe it was two, give me an official source that says so, if you can't, well then "Remember" will stay as one episode. Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 05:54, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey ! I'm sorry but the official site for the season 2 isn't true ! because, if you look at more exactly, you can see that the episode 2x23 according to ABC, has been broadcasted on May, 14th ! But it's wrong because the episode 2x23 has been broadcasted on May, 21st ! So all is wrong, for the season 2 ! But, I swear if the episode 13 of the season 5 is the episode 100, it means that season 2 has 24 episodes ! IT'S LOGICAL !!! For the 24 episodes of the season 5 : http://desperate-housewives.tripod.com/id3.html

(86.207.180.31 (talk) 14:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC))

Will you please talk some sense into this guy? He keeps changing the numbers on List of Desperate Housewives episodes. Will you please do that for me so that I don't get confused? AdamDeanHall (talk) 20:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I listen to you ! (86.207.180.31 (talk) 12:59, 19 June 2008 (UTC))

I just read your explaination, and I understand you ! But if the episode 100 is the episode 13 of the season 5, will you change the episodes numbers ? (86.207.180.31 (talk) 13:04, 19 June 2008 (UTC))

Confused ? If the 5x13 is the 100th, it means that season 2 has 24 episodes and we have to change the episodes numbers ! But if you aren't wrong and if season 2 has 23 episodes, it means that 5x12 is the episode 100, and the episodes numbers will be like now ! So we just have to wait ! (86.207.180.31 (talk) 15:31, 21 June 2008 (UTC))

Hey ! There is a website which agrees with my opinion. Look please and after tell me what you think. This is not a fan site ! => http://www.tv.com/desperate-housewives/show/24641/episode_guide.html?season=2&tag=season_dropdown;dropdown;1 (86.207.180.31 (talk) 22:15, 21 June 2008 (UTC))

Ok, I understand, so we have to wait next january for the episode 100 ! Thanks you bye bye =) (86.207.180.31 (talk) 14:48, 22 June 2008 (UTC))

Hey ! It's me =) ! I found an other website : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0410975/episodes#season-2 Please, look because there is written that season 2 has 24 episodes ! Bye See you soon ! (86.207.180.31 (talk) 00:18, 12 July 2008 (UTC))

Ok ! I give up to look for others websites. What I have to do, now => wait and see ! But if the episode 5x13 is the 100th, I hope that you'll edit the episodes numbers ! =) Bye bye ! (86.207.180.31 (talk) 17:36, 13 July 2008 (UTC))

Moonlight episodes

Thanks for your two notes, I've been away for most of the weekend so I couldn't get back to you. As for the list, as a director of the process I won't support or oppose, I just try to ensure the lists meet the WP:MOS etc. This list appears to have one support and one oppose so I suggest you get in touch with Collectonian to see if she's happy with what you've done to address her concerns. Characters of Smallville

It wouldn't be FL, it would be FA, just like Characters of Kingdom Hearts or Characters of Final Fantasy. Also, it isn't ready for even GA status. It's still lacking a lot of information, and it needs a thorough copy edit.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 11:26, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it. I'm going to continue to work on it while I'm at work; I'm just working on another work-related project at the moment. I'll probably have to trim some recurring characters anyway, if they don't yeild any real world information. Like Alicia Baker, for instance. Love the character, but she really didn't have a "recurring" appearance. She had one appearance, and then was so popular that decided to bring her back from 2 episodes. Not like say Dr. Helen Bryce, who had a 9 episode appearance and was part of a story-arc that spanned half a season.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 12:00, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Nathan Fillion

Hey ! It's 86.207.180.31 ! There is a mistake on Nathan Fillion's page about the first episode of the season 4. There is written that 4x01 aired on Septembre 3rd, but it's false ! It aired on September 30th ! I edited but somebody removed. So, please do you do something ? Because ClueBox says it's vandalism ! Thanks ! (86.207.180.31 (talk) 21:49, 28 June 2008 (UTC))

No such thing as vampires FAC discussion

Hi Cornucopia, I've left you further comments on the FAC. I still think it needs more work. Good luck, Gwernol 13:18, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Underbelly

Hi! I've had a look at Underbelly in relation to the GAN, and I've put it on hold for a bit. My main concern is with the synopsis - pretty much everything else was minor, and generally I thought it was a great and very interesting article. Not to mention very well written. :) Anyway, I'll check my own sources to see if I can fix a problem or two, but as I haven't seen the series I can't touch the synopsis issue. If that could be expanded a bit I think it would either be a GA or very, very close. My comments are at Talk:Underbelly (TV series)/GA1‎. Regards, Bilby (talk) 14:12, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your !vote at my RFA

Looks good so far. If you can add a production section, you should submit it for GA. I think I should use a better picture, i'll take a capture now. I also think that the ratings need a better source, i'll find one and replace the current one. -- Jamie jca (talk) 20:06, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

You could try adding something about the 30 Rock referencing Star Wars alot in other episodes and maybe something about this being because Tina Fey is a fan of the franchise. Have a look to see if you can find any interviews from the cast or crew (or even Fisher, but it's doubtful she has done any) about the episode. -- Jamie jca (talk) 18:00, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Well Done. -- Jamie jca (talk) 17:41, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

I've taken a quick look and to be honest there are still several problems. I've fixed a couple, but need more time to review it again. My initial impression is that if anything the prose has taken a step backwards from where it was a couple of day ago. I think the article needs more work - in the form of a thorough review - before it could be passed as a Featured Article. I'll try to help out with this tomorrow. Gwernol 03:09, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Dates

Thank you for your help on Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007 film). However, there's no need to move days and months around - from MOS:DATE, both "7 July" and "July 7" are correct, and when wikilinked (per July 7), they will display according to how the reader has set their preferences in the my preferences -> Date and time option at the top of the page (in fact, this is the reason dates are wikilinked in the first place). I've changed back the dates in the article for consistency (you missed some!), but your interest is much appreciated ;) All the best, EyeSerenetalk 08:55, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi again - you commented on Talk: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007 film) that some of the dates are still inconsistent. Is this in the markup or the actual page view? If you don't mind, could you point them out - we can't seem to find them? Thanks! EyeSerenetalk 17:49, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

30 Rock episodes

Yeah, that's a good idea. Just keep them consistent and make sure they have production and reception sections. I think it's a good idea to submit each episode for DYK once the article is made and if enough information is found, Good Article. I can do season two and i'll finish off Hard Ball from my sandbox. -- Jamie jca (talk) 17:32, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

We could just do which ever episodes, from either season, in any order. -- Jamie jca (talk) 19:52, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
I found a source for the ratings for "The Aftermath" and I removed the section for awards since the episode didn't win/get nominated for any (check List of 30 Rock awards and nominations if you're ever wondering if an episode has ever won any awards). Also, here's a little tip, if you're ever stuck for ratings information, try looking at Variety, just search "30 Rock ratings" and find the article from the day after the episodes original airdate. Another good place (that also gives information for some of the other demographics) is NBC Universal Media Village. If you need anymore help just ask. I'll try and start another episode article in my sandbox later today. -- Jamie jca (talk) 13:00, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
BTW, for any future articles. In all season 1 episodes which the following people appear in, theyare credited as guest stars:

These are listed for any (season 1 or 2) episodes they appear in:

I suggest for the citation, either remove itor use the reference for the canadian airdate on Pilot (30 Rock) and just put at the end of the {{cite web}} template something like "This episode aired a week later" and then the </ref> tag. -- Jamie jca (talk) 17:56, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
I've just made an article for "Somebody to Love." I've nominated it for DYK and GA. -- Jamie jca (talk) 21:08, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Just nominated "Hard Ball" for GA. -- Jamie jca (talk) 21:38, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Um well, Cornucopia, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I was wondering if you could maybe change the number of edits I have to make from 250, to 150. Since it is the summertime, I'll be pretty busy with vacations and parties and various other things, and before you know it, school will start and my schedule will be jam packed. my new story

Hi Cornucopia. I'm in the begining of writing a new story, (i want to be an author or a photographer!) and thought I should show you what I've written so far. Please give my your honest opinon. I really need the critiscm, so I can take it in and use it. Thanks! And remember, this is just what I got so far. There's more to the story! Here it is:

It happened on Saturday, December 8th of last year. I’ll never forget it, for two reasons. One, it was the day that ruined my life. And two, it was all my fault.

It was just about lunchtime, and my Mom was cooking me some mac n’ cheese, which is about the only thing she did cook for me since she had terrible culinary skills. I was parked in front of our bay window in our living room, watching the snow fall as I sat on the window seat, petting my pet dog, Jupiter.

Just as Jupiter was starting to drift off into a weary sleep, there was a loud crackling sound coming from the kitchen. I stuck my nose in the air, smelling a smokey aroma that I knew had to be coming from the kitchen. Just as Mom said a sware word, the smoke alarm went off.

“Mom?” I shouted. “Do you need me to get the fire extinguisher?” Usually when Mom cooked, she burnt everything. So it was routine for me to have to jump up and get the fire extinguisher. Then Mom would put out the fire, and we’d end up ordering Taiwanese food or hoagies for lunch, and Dad would have the leftovers for dinner when he got home from work. But this was different. So I just continued on staring at the sparkling snow, figuring everything was fine. But my heart was still worried.

“Mom? Are you sure everything’s okay?” I asked again. But there was no answer; only the sizzling sound of the mac n’ cheese was coming from the kitchen. Curiously, I got up and went into the kitchen to see why Mom didn’t need any help. Probably just a false alarm, I thought. But I was soon to be proven wrong.

When I walked into the kitchen, I was in utter horror. My eyes could not believe what I was seeing. It was so unreal.

There was Mom, lying on the floor. Her face blue, her eyes open, and her mouth was open too. Wide open. As if she was screaming. One of her hands was across her neck, almost holding on, but with a loose grip. Her other arm was laying on the kitchen floor tiles, as were her legs. But in her other hand, was the mixing spoon that Mom was using for the mac n’ cheese. It was covered in burnt liquid cheese, that was crusted onto the spoon. . “Mom?” I asked nervously. “M-m-m-om?” Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I knelt down to check her pulse. Nothing. Not even the faintest beat of life. “Mom, say something!” I screamed sadly. “Please! Wake up! Wake up M-mom!”

I jumped up, grabbed the phone, tried to decide who to call for help first: Dad, or 911?

--Soccer5525 (TkCtrb) 19:53, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Wow, I didn't think you'd like it so much! Thanks! I haven't showed it to Erik or Bignole yet, but Erik's been pretty busy so I wouldn't know if he'd reply. And about that sentence, I said culinary so I wouldn't have to keep saying cooking over and over again. I just thought I should spice it up a bit with some more vivid words. Here's the continuation of the story:

I figured that the police should be notified first, so they can bring an ambulance over.

I pressed the three numbers I had hoped I’d never had to call. And when the dispatcher answered, I panicked.

“911 hotline, what is your emergency?” They asked. “Help! I need h-h-help! My Mom, and she’s, the mac n’ cheese! I dunno why she’s blue! I a-a-asked if she n-needed a fire extinguisher and-” “Ok, ok miss. Please calm down and explain what happened.” “I can’t! I don’t know what happened!” “Well tell me your name and address.” “My n-n-name is Delilah Schwartz, and I live on Primrose Boulevard! My Mom is blue! I need help! Please! This is scary!! Help!” And then I hung up.

I quickly glanced back at Mom. Now Jupiter was licking the spoon in her hand. At this point I didn’t care what that dog was doing.

Quickly, I dialed Dad’s work number. I would’ve called his cell phone, but he doesn’t have one ever since Jupiter chewed it up. Hopefully he would be there, unless he was busy. And as I waited, I started panting from fear.

“Hello, Schwartz and Co. Carpeting Services, this is Pam.” The secretary said. “Hi this is Mr. Schwartz’s daughter, I need to talk to him now! It’s an emergency!” I rapidly yelled. “Delilah? Is everything alright?” “No! Just put me through!” “Alright then!” Then Pam hung up, and Dad’s phone started to ring. I was completely annoyed with Pam, for wasting so much time with asking me questions. Didn’t she realize I was in need of my own Dad’s help?

“Hello, Brian Schwartz speaking.” Dad said. “Dad, you need to come here right now! Mom isn’t breathing, and she’s blue! Help me!” “Delilah? I’m sorry, I can’t understand you! Slow down! What’s wrong with Mom?” “I don’t know! Just come home! NOW!” And then I hung up.

Since I couldn’t just sit there and wait for help to come, I had to take matters into my own hands. Using my CPR skills from a babysitting class I took the previous year, I starting using that maneuver on my Mom. But nothing worked.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of sirens. It was the ambulance, finally. So I rushed out the front door, to show the police what happened.

“Help!” I cried. “My Mom isn’t breathing! You have to do something!”

Well, I thought it should be a chapter book, where it goes through Delilah's life growing up. How does that sound? And here's the continuation:

But all the police officers and medical workers just ran right past me, barging into our house. “Hey!” I called. “Wait!” I tried running to catch up to all of them, but someone stopped me.

A big police officer, which I assumed was the chief, grabbed me from behind, and turned me around so I could walk with him. “Miss, you’re coming with me.” He said. “No! B-b-but my Mom!” “Don’t worry little one, she’s gonna be alright.” Then the man put me in the police cruiser, and started driving away. The last thing I saw when we pulled down the street, was a body being a wheeled into the ambulance on one of those beds. The body was covered in plastic material, so I couldn’t see much of anything. But I knew, that it was Mom.

The next thing I knew, I was sitting in the hospital waiting room with my Dad. He was just sitting there, staring off into space, without any emotion at all. I tried to get my mind off of things by reading the magazines they had, “Good Housekeeping”, “Marie Claire”, “GQ” and “Woman’s World”. But I couldn’t help but think about what was happening in that emergency room. Would the police chief be right, and everything would be okay? --Soccer5525 (TkCtrb) 14:47, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

re: Milian

Sure, I can have a go at it. I will try to get to it tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for asking! --Laser brain (talk) 16:52, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Howdy - I'm sorry about the Milian article but I had a personal circumstance that resulted in my losing my PC for several days. I am back now and working on my backlog of to-do's; I will get to the article as soon as possible. Thanks! --Laser brain (talk) 04:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I DID IT!!

Hi Corn. I finally made it to 150! Yes! I can't wait for my barnstar! Please give it to me before Friday, because that's when I'm going on vacation. And sorry about my, signature. It's under construction! --<font face="Maiandra GD">[[User:Soccer5525|<span style="color:white;background:Orange;border-style: double">♥Soccer5525♥</span>]]<small>[[User talk:Soccer5525|Talk To Me!]]</small></font> (talk) 14:22, 29 July 2008 (UTC) --♥Soccer5525♥Talk To Me! 20:41, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi again. I fixed my signature thankfully with the help of my trusty friend, Bignole. Take your time with giving me my barnstar. I understand you're probably busy. Just try and do it before my vacation! Thanks, and happy editing! --♥Soccer5525♥Talk To Me! 20:41, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the barnstar. Since you gave me one, I'm going to give you one. (Sorry, but I had to put it here. I don't know where else to put it!) I'm moving it to your userpage!
I love that song! Pink totally portrayed such an important message in that song. Well, I don't know if it was a message, but she still made a good point. The only thing is that Madison's a brunette, not a blonde. Most girls like that are blondes when you think about it. And also, I thought I should let you know that I'm going on vacation for a week in Maine tomorrow, so I won't be here. --♥Soccer5525♥Talk To Me! 12:42, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Ok thanks! I'll see you in a week! --♥Soccer5525♥Talk To Me! 13:10, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
