Another Billie Eilish song article (which, from what I can tell, is nowhere near GA quality) is now at GAN. I don't plan on picking it up for a review, but I've made some comments and would like a second opinion to see if I missed/impropoerly assessed some parts of the article (especially if any other sections are unfinished, as I suspect they are). Username6892 15:16, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Username6892, The nominator was recently asked by BlueMoonset to stop nominating articles for GA that are a long way from meeting the criteria. This appears to be another one of those nominations. I would quick fail based on the poor quality prose, limited coverage and unverifiable content. Cool Marc 15:35, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Username6892, I have reverted the nomination. This is the second time that DarklyShadows has nominated that article—the first time they pulled the nomination just before they semi-retired a week and a half ago—and no edits have been made to the article since then. The issues you've pointed out in your draft review show that they still don't understand the article quality needed to be a GA candidate; I agree with Coolmarc: a quick fail would have been in order here. Thanks for being willing to take on the review. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:37, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
BlueMoonset, the user has nominated When I Was Older for GA now which I reverted twice but isn't helping. Like their previous nominations, the article is a long way from meeting the criteria of being broad in coverage. The little coverage it has, has several prose issues. They have claimed below that they have "studied the GA criteria" but I seriously doubt it. Cool Marc 08:21, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
He's nominated Copycat (Billie Eilish song) and I think you should quickfail it rather than rv the nom, given that rving the nom doesn't seem stop the nominating of subpar articles (Unless, of course, the nom rv's the nom after you pick it up, at which point you should probably rv any subsequent noms). Username6892 01:15, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Username6892, I don't think it will matter if we quick fail. They will just go ahead and renominate. I honestly don't think it is fair that this user should be allowed to continue wasting people's time like this. As I said at the GA Project talk page, they are going to continue nominating these articles until a less leniant reviewer eventually passes them. @BlueMoonset: are you able to revert these nominations? Cool Marc Cool Marc 06:42, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted the nomination of Copycat, since there were issues included misquoting sources on top of overuse of said quotes: this is manifestly not ready for GA status. I'd like to suggest, however, that When I Was Older be reviewed and, if appropriate, quickfailed; if nothing else, it makes eminently clear what the quality issues are with the nomination, and doubtless the issues are the same with the other Eilish articles as well. DYK for Physical (Dua Lipa song)[edit]

On 27 July 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Physical (Dua Lipa song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the music video for Dua Lipa's song "Physical" is based on a Venn diagram from 1981? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Physical (Dua Lipa song). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Physical (Dua Lipa song)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Official Charts of small countries (Radiomonitor)[edit]

Stop to delete Radiomonitor database on Ava Max’s songs. Radiomonitor is the most reliable database of charts operating in selected smalls countries and it’s a registered chartdata on Wikipedia’s core, so yes it can be used. Biduxm (talk) 16:26, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Biduxm, there is a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Record charts. Feel free to provide reliable sources that back up Radiomonitor as being these small countries national charts because at this point they are not nor is the data reliable. Cool Marc 18:57, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Con Calma[edit]

Hi, I came across "Con Calma" and its chart section seems to have a lot of unnotable charts; I'm not sure which ones are unnotable but I've seen you cleaning song articles, so I suppose you can take care of Con Calma as well? Thank you very much. Regards BawinV (talk) 21:33, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

BawinV, Hey there. There's a lot of charts on the article. I mainly had an issue with the Anglo Monitor Latino charts on some articles I've seen. The Anglo charts are the ones that aren't notable as they only include songs in English, it takes sometimes only 20 plays in a week on some of them chart in the top 20 which is nothing notable. The General Monitor Latino charts used on Con Calma are fine as they include both Spanish and English songs in the same chart. Cool Marc 00:08, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mexico Airplay versus Mexico Ingles Airplay[edit]

Hello, I noticed you removed the 'Mexico Ingles Airplay' chart citing that it was a component of the main Mexico Airplay chart. I'm actually not sure if this is the case. Lots of International Countries have artists for Foreign and Domestic artists and we don't generally exclude them. It is my understanding that Mexico Ingles airplay is solely for songs sung in English whereas any song, of any language can appear on the Mexico airplay chart. Do you have anything concrete that the tallies are components? I may have totally misunderstood. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 22:04, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
