October 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page William Regal has been reverted.
Your edit here to William Regal was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/pages/William-Regal-WWE-Universe/8534058070) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 02:22, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mass addition of redirects[edit]

Hello, I noticed you have added a large number of redirects for acronyms and in many cases obscure terms for films such as RZX. Please see Wikipedia:R#DELETE #8 and see if you feel that these redirects are needed. Many of these redirects show up as users search for unrelated terms, and they may cause confusion. Thanks for taking a look. Tgeairn (talk) 02:24, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I took a look, objected to their tagging for speedy and removed the tags with reasons in summary as template instructs. What type of unrelated terms would someone be looking for? I made them redirects because as far as I'm aware these are the only games that the initialisms could refer to. If there are other pages on topics these initials could refer to, instead of deleting them, I would change the redirect into a disambiguation page which links to the possibilities. I think this is a good solution right? Cob (talk) 06:13, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • After I thought about it, I could see disambiguation pages handling it (and I saw that you did disambig pages for some topics). Thanks again for looking. --Tgeairn (talk) 08:16, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of RTPB[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, RTPB, has been proposed for the following reason:

Confusing redirect Wikipedia:R#DELETE #8

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Tgeairn (talk) 02:43, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
