Amphoe Galyani Vadhana[edit]
Thanks for the additions in Amphoe Galyani Vadhana, due to the Christmas vacations I just noticed the decree today. Since you seem to be quite knowledgeable on Thai law maybe you can explain me a small thing. You wrote that it was signed by the king on December 18. I am no expert with these decrees, but the PDF shows the name Abhisit at bottom. I always thought that the name at bottom is the same who signed the document to make it official. Or are the decrees in book ก different from those in book ง, and need to be signed by the king himself to become official? andy (talk) 22:07, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for your explanations. Through my Wikipedia editing on the provinces and districts of Thailand I got quite deep into the topic of the administrative subdivision of Thailand - not easy with my very limited knowledge of Thai language and the lack of resources in English. Ever since I discovered the Royal Gazette to be available online, I found a lot of interesting things even though I only understood parts of it. So I noticed before that the announcements for district creations look different than for minor district (King Amphoe), but I only checked for the signatures now. Same as with your field of editing her, there are hardly any co-workers in my topics - I even tried to attract some by writing a blog but that has mostly readers who know less about the topics than me. andy (talk) 21:42, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Your user name is apt. This edit could certainly be called clumsy. An hand-written reason for deletion is perfectly acceptable providing the reason is meaningful.
