Welcome![edit]

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Clammybells! I am AFriedman and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Hi![edit]

Given how long you've been around Wikipedia, it's a bit of a surprise that you weren't formally welcomed before...anyways, welcome and good to see you here! If you have any questions, I'd be delighted to answer them! --AFriedman (talk) 23:28, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:34, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback[edit]

Hello, Clammybells. You have new messages at Severo's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Please slow down![edit]

Hi Clammybells - please slow down! You are creating/renaming pages without waiting for discussion to end on them. First, you proposed a new stub type and waited a handful of minutes rather than the several days required for the proposal vetting process, despite notices on the page saying to wait, now you've renamed a stub type that was at SFD two days into its minimum seven-day discussion process, again despite a notice on the page telling you not to (and you did this by creating a brand new page rather than by the correct moving process, too!).

Wikipedia works by a consensus process, not by direct action, especially where templates and categories are concerned (see the note on these page types at WP:BOLD). Jumping the gun and changing or creating things before discussion has a chance to be complete potentially creates a lot more work for everyone concerned. It doesn't hurt to wait a couple of days to see whether anyone has better ideas on how to proceed! Grutness...wha? 00:44, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comet Austin (1989c1)[edit]

Please note that correct new-style designation of comet Austin (1989c1) is C/1989 X1. It is long-period comet. --Fjörgynn (talk) 13:42, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You confuse old-style designation with new-style designation. 1989c1 is an old-style des., but 1989 X1 (not 1989 C1!) is a new-style one. --Fjörgynn (talk) 05:36, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
