Information icon Hello, I'm Dirkbb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Jeremy Stangroom have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Not encyclopedic Dirkbb (talk) 17:43, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dirkbb it's quite constructive, as the Twitter discussion shows. At issue is the characterization of figures on Twitter, e.g. of Graeber as an anarchist communist.

April 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm SharabSalam. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. On the contrary, SharabSalam I did state why. I have been editing the wikipedia for over 20 years and do not need cloying polite instruction.

This article is uniform with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American-led_intervention_in_Iraq_(2014%E2%80%93present), and declares as much on the first line; similarly the latter refers immediately to this article. The two articles were broken from an article about the coalition anti ISIS campaign.

Putinist disinformation is attempting to assimilate the Syrian half of this topic to that of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_involvement_in_the_Syrian_Civil_War#United_States and has in fact re-titled the article. In fact the coalition anti-ISIS campaign is not a feature of the Syrian civil war, though it is an effect of it, of course. The coalition anti-ISIS campaign in Iraq is just as much an effect of the Syrian civil war, apart from which the explosion of ISIS is not really probable. The rot set in with the now-missing editor The Professor https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=American-led_intervention_in_the_Syrian_Civil_War&type=revision&diff=663668881&oldid=663668397 .

The original intention of the page was to record the sequence of events beginning with Kobane (its first appearance is August 2014). It does this well. But various Putinist interventions fused the sequence of events involving US Army support for the basically pro-Assad YPG - which is 100% uniform with US Army and coalition support for the Iraq government forces in Iraq - with the tangled story of CIA support for FSA militias starting in 2012. Thus e.g. 'Timber Sycamore' speculation is supposed to have something to do with this article.

"Turkish state propaganda"[edit]

What? This doesn't even make sense.... Firstly, I do not work for Turkish government and secondly I have no agenda since all edits I do are too keep articles up-to-date and quality not promote certain narrative. Why did you try remove Afrin offensive (January–March 2018) as a separate article? I have explained my reasoning here as to why I made separate article. (Talk:Operation_Olive_Branch#Create_three_new_sub-articles). I do not seek to start an issue but firstly you throw accusations against me and then you remove the article for silly reasons. --FPSTurkey (talk) 22:02, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In fact I tried to re-introduce 'Battle of Afrin' to replace the Turkish 'Operation Olive Branch' article. Inexplicably months later a pro-Turkey article called "Afrin Offensive" appeared. So we have a Turkish title for one article and Turkish content for another.

Disambiguation link notification for December 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Afrin offensive (January–March 2018), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Afrin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
