We need to add some citations to this article. I remember Suspiria well, they were a good band.

Even once we cite a few things, I'm not sure they're notable enough to mention on the Gothic Rock page. I will try to help find some citations for you.--Dr who1975 (talk) 21:36, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Put a new discussion heading on Talk:Gothic rock, we can figure out if Suspiria should be added there.--Dr who1975 (talk) 22:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Merry Thoughts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The Merry Thoughts Copyvio[edit]

I have removed the "Formation" section as it is a direct copyvio of their MySpace page. Direct copies (essentially copy and paste) of other websites are not allowed and will be removed by any editor. - NeutralHomerTalk • 20:37, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Merrythoughts.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Merrythoughts.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NeutralHomerTalk • 20:38, 23 June 2009 (UTC) 20:38, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Merry Thoughts[edit]

I left you a comment on the talk page of The Merry Thoughts. It seems to be the best solution at the moment. MS (Talk|Contributions) 21:06, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. This is only my second article contribution and I apologise if I have evaded protocols. The WP:N is totally arbitrary and for admins/ editors without a grounding in a specific musical genre articles such as mine may appear whimsical. However the band in question was VERY important in the second wave of gothic rock, and to deny this is to undermine wikipedia. I would appreciate advice on whatever steps are required to improve the article, but kindly do not delete it.

See the talk page. And you must also sign your posts even on your own talk. MS (Talk|Contributions) 21:48, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: The Merry Thoughts[edit]

I think the page could use some more references. Right now there is only one. That isn't enough for the page. Try looking for realiable sources about the band and try to cite some of the topics you have discussed. - NeutralHomerTalk • 01:41, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

merrythoughts.jpeg[edit]

You need to add a full Fair Use Rationale to the image. See File:WSIG_2008.PNG for a F-UR in use. - NeutralHomerTalk • 02:07, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of He Merry Thoughts[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article He Merry Thoughts, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

not a plausible redirect

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Correct Name[edit]

The page has been moved to its correct name at The Merry Thoughts. I would recommend adding references to the page or you might find it nominated for deletion again, because at the moment it is very light on references. Please let me know if I can be of assistance. - NeutralHomerTalk • 04:18, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated The Merry Thoughts, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Merry Thoughts. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. NeutralHomerTalk • 20:57, 1 July 2009 (UTC) 20:57, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
