A tag has been placed on Tianyo Ma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Mayao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Your contributed article, Mayao[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Mayao. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Tianyo Ma. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Tianyo Ma – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. — JJMC89(T·E·C) 03:43, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Mr. Administration, It was kind of my very first day to create a wikipedia page, which I had no idea if there are any, well, "regulation-ish" thing on wikipedia. I was actually working with my colleague - rubyyty, who happened to be blocked during the process while we were editing. I must apologise for our rudeness, since we had no idea who the hack was wgolf. I didn't even know there was an athourity in wikipedia. For me, it was someone from nowhere kept deleting my things before I really edit it again to have more significant information. We are actually working for an artist management-music label company in Hong Kong. *we are still pretty junior, first time creating wiki page. so would you please unblock me, please feel free to email me via (Redacted) if there is any questions about my job. I would also very much appreciate if you could unblock us. Cheers,Charlotte~~

Accept reason:

I appreciate your patience has been tested, and that's understandable as you were blocked. I've now unblocked you. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:41, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I would be amenable to unblock you, but I need to straighten out a few things. You should not be editing Wikipedia articles on topics that you are closely associated with - at all - otherwise you will run into these problems. If your boss is trying to get you to create promotional Wikipedia articles as part of your job descriptions, they are wrong and does not understand what we're about. I appreciate it's difficult to communicate that in your shoes. We have an Article Wizard you can use to create articles, and submit them to peer review from experienced editors, which may be an alternative solution. However, even then you may find your submissions declined for being too promotional and ultimately there's no guarantee what you're writing about is a suitable topic.

If you understand this, and agree to only use the Article Wizard, I'll see what I can do about an unblock. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:04, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

They should also be required to read and agree to abide by the conflict of interest guideline.
 — Berean Hunter (talk) 03:05, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your contributions. I will use Article Wizard to edit. However, in my opinion, a page of an artist is not commercial, yet I read your COI guideline. We decided to create it because people start searching him, yet, I consider it a platform posting information which is not promotional. My boss didn't force me to do it. I decided that it would be a kind of public interest whilst people might be interested in who the hack is the artist. Calvin Harris has a page, Adam Levine has a page. Should we take those pages down? Is a page of Hearst Castle promotional? I'd bet the answers are no. It's pages of information. I didn't put my artist schedule on it, neither of his coming events, (yet, it's confidential for the moment.) Neither did I promote his new album on that. Nothing of my words are subjective. But if it bothers you because I know him, then okay, fine, I don't have to build up the page. Let's just wait til someone is interested enough to create a page about it. As an audience, I'd feel regretful, if I was desperate to research on an artist without a wikipedia page about it. I studied media and journalism at one of the best schools in Australia. What I have known of about wikipedia, is that it's a social media platform where people can write whatever, as long as it's an objective fact.
