Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Queen of Apostles Boarding School, Elmina, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. The school anthem is really not encyclopaedic, not the sort of thing that belongs in one of our articles. A tag has been placed on Mabel Simpson,Ghana, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Guidelines for stub page references

Hello, I saw you added a request for additional references to the page I just created on Halil İbrahim Akça. I'm still trying to learn about the article creation process, and was wondering if you could clarify. I tried not to include any information that wasn't backed up by citations. While the subject is definitely notable, there really just doesn't seem to be a lot out there, in English anyway. (The Turkish Wikipedia article isn't much better.) While I know we'd always like more information and sources on every page, is there a reason sourcing on this page is particularly inadequate, above and beyond what is already communicated by classifying the article as a stub? Is there some minimum number of sources I should aim for before creating an article? Does BLP status come into this? Thanks for your help! MarginalCost (talk) 14:47, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Patrol of Pilotéphious article

Hello - just wanted to let you know I took your review of the new Pilotéphious article a step further (CSD A11), because the article subject seems to be an innocuous hoax. I could not find a web search result for Pilotéphious (or Pilotephious) and the tone of the article seems a bit whimsical. Please don't patrol non-notable pages

Please read this link Wikipedia:New pages patrol#Patroller checklists as some of the pages which you are marking as patrolled through page curation tool, actually don't have any notability. Check whether the sources given are WP:RS. If the pages are sources from their websites which is WP:PRIMARY, then don't mark the page as patrolled or through page curation tool. Sources as facebook, twitter and blogs are also not reliable sources. Also search the subject through google news if they are living people as celebrities, politicians, musicians. In case of academics, search google books. It would be better to patrol properly instead of large number of patrols.

It's perfectly alright to patrol notable pages but, if you patrol completely non-notable pages, and don't even tag them as this "article may not meet notability guidelines", then it won't help other page patrollers to look into it. I always search in google news and google books. In case of Non-English names, I search with their local names. Some articles which are about deceased people, I search google books only or simple google search to see if third party, indeependent sources mention about them. New organization, events, awards should be in the news.

And please take your time to read every page below, and remember the individual criteria.

WP:COMPANY, WP:NBOOK, WP:WEBSITE, WP:FILMNOT, WP:ACADEMIC, WP:NEWSEVENT, WP:NMUSIC, WP:NSPORT, WP:BLPNOTE. --Marvellous Spider-Man 00:37, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Actually, it's perfectly fine, even expected, that non-notable pages will be patrolled. It's just that they need to be tagged for speedy deletion, proposed for deletion, sent to AFD, or, for borderline cases, tagged with {{notability}}—and in all cases watchlisted for escalation in case the tagging is removed.
It may be helpful to spend more time watching and participating at AFD before patrolling: I found it was a great way to learn the notability guidelines inside out, to see how they're applied in practice, and to learn about researching notability—things that are essential for constructive patrolling. Either pick something off today's list, or, if you have a specific topic of interest, look for it in the deletion sorting lists. Rebbing 10:06, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

September 2016

Information icon Hello Celestinesucess. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created. It is also suggested that pages that might meet CSD A7 criteria not be tagged for deletion immediately after they are created. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. Speedy deletion declined: Maduk (musician)

Hello Celestinesucess. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Maduk (musician), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: the article had content when the speedy delete tag was added to the article. Thank you. -- GB fan 11:01, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello, when I added the deletion tag there was only references, external link and an info box on the page. I would advice that you please add the increation template to an incomplete article page you are working on to avoid any misunderstandings--Celestinesucess (talk) 16:31, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

That infobox had content in the article that was enough to understand what the article was about. It satisfied the requirements of both WP:A1 and WP:A3. You should not have tagged it for speedy deletion under either of those criterion. Your final tag was WP:A3. If you read the decription in the policy it says, "Similarly, this criterion does not cover a page having only an infobox," -- GB fan 16:41, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

(by talk page watcher) Dear Celestinesucess , (and by copy to: Zackmann08);
First of all, please forgive me for offering unsolicited advice, but I saw this section and wanted to offer assistance:
  1. I would recommend that you consider creating all your future draft articles in your own user space first; in this case: User:Celestinesucess/Juliette Mills-Lutterodt, also adding the {{Draft article}} template (Template:Draft article), which emphasises that the incomplete article is still only a draft; this approach encourages new page patrollers to leave the page alone. Although newly created user pages are also patrolled, they will not be tagged for deletion except in cases of abuse of Wikipedia policies. Then, when your draft is completed, you can create the article by moving it to main space, which will preserve the draft's history. However, if you copy/paste the content of your draft into a newly created article page, then also remember to add the required {{Copied}} template (Template:Copied) to its talk page, to enable your draft's history to be accessed (for attribution) from the newly created article (see one of my recent examples here; also look at how to word the edit summary when creating the article: at 15:48, on 13 October 2016). Of course, the final article, when published in main space, could still be tagged for deletion if it fails to meet the usual guidelines, but at least you should be able to develop drafts in your user space without risking early deletion.
  2. Also, please note you needed to use one of the {{Replyto|}} templates (Template:Replyto) for Zackmann08 to see your reply above.
  3. Finally, please consider using the indent convention in your posts, as explained in WP:THREAD, instead of starting them with just a blank space, as you did above.
Hope this helps; good luck and best wishes.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 09:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
@Pdebee: thank you for the advice, that was helpful.--Celestinesucess (talk) 21:55, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

First all of all, agree with everything Pdebee said. Second, at the time I tagged the article it had not been worked on for multiple hours. When you create a new article it needs to have SOME content to indicate why it is noteworthy. I would encourage you to go through articles for creation if you wish to recreate the article. That process will allow you to work at your own pace and received help along the way. Also, please note I am NOT an admin and thus am not capable of deleting the page. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 22:48, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Celestinesucess, as the admin that reviewed the article, I considered your request in the tag, The problem I saw was that when you created it said, "Juliette Mills-Lutterodt is an entrepreneur and the founder of Pink for Africa. She is a mother and a survivor of breast cancer." It stayed like that for almost 5 hours before it was tagged for speedy deletion. Four and a half hours later you commented here but did nothing to improve the article. It then sat for another 14 hours with no improvements until I saw it and deleted it. You created an article about a living person with no sources and no credible claim to significance and let it sit unchanged for 23 hours. I considered the tag and decided that leaving it even longer did not benefit the encyclopedia. That tag is not meant for long term use, it even says "Please remove this notice if the page has not been edited for several hours." -- GB fan 02:01, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

Updates by 'Suggestbot' ツ

Dear Zita,
I hope you won't mind if I intrude once again, this time regarding the updates that Suggestbot adds to your talk page.
You could consider filing these bulky updates out to a dedicated page of their own, like I do, so that they no longer loom so large on your talk page. If the idea appeals, then it's a straightforward creation of a new user page:

User:Celestinesucess/Suggesbot

inside which you then simply insert the template that triggers Suggesbot's updates:

{{User:SuggestBot/config|frequency = twice a month|replace}} (in my case)

This approach might also help, a little, to improve the time it takes to save your talk page after each edit, since the system won't have to process all these long tables, each time.
Please forgive me for offering this piece of unsolicited advice (again! ), especially if you'd already considered such a solution but discarded it because you do prefer that Suggestbot adds its tables of articles directly into your talk page.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 14:15, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

@Pdebee: Thanks a lot once again, I find your tips helpful. You've got an impressive Wikipaedium vitae on your talk page. I hope to get more advice from you--Celestinesucess (talk) 22:08, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
Dear Zita,
You're most welcome; always a pleasure to help! Thank you for your kind words; most of those articles or pages contain only a few of my edits, but it soon mounts up! There is a very practical reason for keeping such a Wikipaedium Vitae: it enables me to keep track of all the articles I have ever edited, without having to keep them in my Watchlist. Otherwise, I would now have 2,200+ articles in my watchlist, and would see a daily entry every time other editor(s) applied an edit to each of them: a bit of a nightmare! I regularly remove article titles from my watchlist, which is my way of letting go and not becoming attached to articles (although I do confess to having a few favourites... ).
I am sure you'll get there too; we all do, eventually. Please keep well, Zita.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 23:12, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
Is there a way I can move my previous SuggestBot messages to the newly created talk page for Suggestbot updates?--Celestinesucess (talk) 22:11, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
Dear Zita,
Very much so: the way I would do this is to edit the whole of your talk page (using the Edit button at the very top), then copy and paste the whole of your talk page into your new user page for Suggestbot, then delete each of the other sections (53 short ones) until all you're left with is only the 40 sections (very long ones) already added by Suggestbot.
If you need any more help, please don't hesitate to ask. Good luck, and very best wishes.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 22:41, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
P.S.: Forgot to add: of course, once you've completed that task and all your Suggestbot sections are now safely in your new user page reserved only for Suggestbot updates, then you can delete the old Suggestbot sections from your talk page. You'll find that your talk page will open and save much faster than before, when all the Suggestbot sections were in there. Please keep well and happy! Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 22:53, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Dear Zita,
I have now completed both actions:

  1. Copied all the Suggestbot sections to your new User:Celestinesucess/Suggesbot page;  Done
  2. Deleted all the (now redundant) Suggestbot sections from your talk page (here).  Done

It didn't take me very long, even though it was a bit boring... Good luck with all your projects, and don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you ever need any. Until then, please keep well and happy.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 00:23, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
P.S. Funnily enough, Suggestbot has just applied an update to your new user page! Now, because you had kept the 'replace' option in the template (on the first line), Suggestbot removed all the previous sections I had just copied there. However, please don't worry: if you wish to keep all the earlier sections, then simply use the 'Undo' button, and then remove the |replace option from the template on the first line, then re-insert the section Suggestbot added today, by simply copying it back from the diff. If you're not sure about doing this yourself, then I'll be happy to do it for you if you prefer.
With kind regards for now;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 00:58, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

Thanks a lot Pdebee
Dear Zita,
Sorry for delay in acknowledging your short message above; I only saw it now because of the absence of {{Replyto}} and signature. I assume you're happy that your Suggestbot page now only has the latest update? However, if you would prefer to have all its previous content restored, then please let me know and I will undo the removal, which is easy.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 09:10, 16 November 2016 (UTC)

User group: New Page Reviewr

Hello Celestinesucess.

Based on the patrols you made of new pages during a qualifying period in 2016, your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed.

New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

  • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
  • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:34, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Celestinesucess. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Stub tagging

Hi, you tagged Independent Investigation Unit (and some other pages) as a stub. A multisection article like this is not a WP:stub. I suggest that you read up on stubs. To be useful you should also use a narrower template to say what kind of stub. I have rolled-back your recent stub additions to list articles, I do not consider it vandalism, just not a useful thing to do. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:32, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Also, please note that disambiguation pages are never stubs - see your tagging here. Thanks. PamD 08:25, 9 December 2016 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter

Hello Celestinesucess,
Breaking the back of the backlog
We now have 819 New Page Reviewers! Most of you requested the user right to be able to do something about the huge backlog. Now it's time for action.
Mid July to 01 Oct 2016

If each reviewer does only 10 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
Let's get that over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.

Second set of eyes

Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work. Read about it at the new Monitoring the system section in the tutorial.

Getting the tools we need - 2016 WMF Wishlist Survey: Please vote

With some tweaks to their look, and some additional features, Page Curation and New Pages Feed could easily be the best tools for patrollers and reviewers. We've listed most of what what we need at the 2016 WMF Wishlist Survey. Voting starts on 28 November - please turn out to make our bid the Foundation's top priority. Please help also by improving or commenting on our Wishlist entry at the Community Wishlist Survey. Many other important user suggestions are listed at at Page Curation.

I have unreviewed a page you curated

Thanks for reviewing Nanhai Shimen Middle School, Celestinesucess.

Unfortunately ThePlatypusofDoom has just gone over this page again and unreviewed it. Their note is:

This still needs some major fixes, and I don't think it's notable, middle schools are not normally notable.

To reply, leave a comment on ThePlatypusofDoom's talk page.

Hi

Hello, this is just a friendly reminder to check for multiple things besides categorization at NPP. You marked Nanhai Shimen Middle School as reviewed, although it's probably not notable, still needed major fixes, and more tagging. Also, there was a blatantly promotional statement in Lea Thau that you probably should have noticed. These mistakes are probably not the norm for your patrolling, however, so keep patrolling articles! Thanks, ThePlatypusofDoom (talk) Happy Holidays 12:54, 20 December 2016 (UTC)

Stubs

Hi Celestinesucess,

You have marked several of my new pages as stubs. I know these pages could use more information, but I am entering the information that I have found in the areas that interest me. I figure other people will add information that interests them as time goes by. I have no intention of doing any in-depth research on these pages. I don't think these pages should be deleted, because I believe a little information is better than no information at all.Jdtrue63 (talk) 08:46, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
Hello Jdtrue63, these articles will not be deleted. I tagged them as stubs because, it could use more information and you or others could add more information as time goes on--Celestinesucess (talk) 08:51, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

Okay. I was just concerned because I clicked on the stub link and it said they could be deleted or merged into another article.Jdtrue63 (talk) 08:56, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter No.2

Hello Celestinesucess,
A HUGE backlog

We now have 819 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.

Hitting 17,000 soon

The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.

Second set of eyes

Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.

Abuse

This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and

  1. this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
  2. this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
  3. This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.

Coordinator election

Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Still a MASSIVE backlog

We now have 819 New Page Reviewers but despite numerous appeals for help, the backlog has NOT been significantly reduced.
If you asked for the New Page Reviewer right, please consider investing a bit of time - every little helps preventing spam and trash entering the mainspace and Google when the 'NO_INDEX' tags expire.

Stub tagging of non-stubs

If you think that Homegoing (2016 novel) is a stub, you need to stop tagging and read up about what a stub actually is. Please stop wasting other editors' time by adding {{stub}} to non-stubs. Thanks. PamD 10:14, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

A much more useful thing to do during Page Curation would have been to ask "This article title has a disambiguator. Is this article linked from Homegoing?" The answer was "No", but I've now expanded the hatnote there to navigate to this new article. PamD 10:16, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
Thank you Pam I seem to have a problem distinguishing between what is a stub and what is not. I know a stub is any article that more information can be added to. Is there a limit to the amount of information that can be added in an article.I read that there is no precise length for a stub. So, if you don't mind can you please help me understand what really a stub is. thanks--Celestinesucess (talk) 13:31, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
Virtually any article in the encyclopedia could have more information added to it, so that's not a definition of a stub. See WP:STUB for some ideas. I'd say a stub is something pretty minimal. Something like the Homegoing article, with a lead, several chunky sections well sourced, list of reviews, etc, seems to me to be well beyond a stub. PamD 16:59, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

unnecessary stub tags

Please take more care - you added {{stub}} to Be Aib though it already had two specific stub tags. Please stop wasting other editors' time. Thanks. PamD 15:16, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

Issues at Twi Wikipedia

Hi Celestinesucess! I was just exploring Twi Wikipedia and I found a group of 13 articles that seemed to have Chinese titles and no content. I tried to tag them for speedy deletion, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it! I've traced all of the articles back to Jeva168. All of this user's contributions seem to be related to this group of articles. Here is a list of the articles: 無極姆娘, 瑤池金母, 神獨生女, 仙女, 薩爾聖人, 末後夏娃, 耶穌新婦, 彌賽亞, 彌勒, 九龍真主, 紫薇聖人, 夏心蘭, 夏心兰 Would you be able to delete the articles that the user created and block or warn the user who created them? If you can't, would you happen to know someone that I could contact who would do both things? Thanks, Jith12 (talk) 22:27, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

New Page Review - Newsletter No.4

Hello Celestinesucess,

Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 819 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!

But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

Stay up to date with recent new page developments and have your say, read THIS PAGE.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Rose Atinga Bio, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:38, 12 December 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter

Hello Celestinesucess, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 12713 pages. Please consider reviewing even just a few pages each day! If everyone helps out, it will really put a dent in the backlog.
  • Currently the backlog stretches back to March and some pages in the backlog have passed the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing some of them!

Outreach and Invitations:

  • If you know other editors with a good understanding of Wikipedia policy, invite them to join NPP by dropping the invitation template on their talk page with: {{subst:NPR invite}}. Adding more qualified reviewers will help with keeping the backlog manageable.

New Year New Page Review Drive

  • A backlog drive is planned for the start of the year, beginning on January 1st and running until the end of the month. Unique prizes will be given in tiers for both the total number of reviews made, as well as the longest 'streak' maintained.
  • Note: quality reviewing is extremely important, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity.

General project update:

  • ACTRIAL has resulted in a significant increase in the quality of new submissions, with noticeably fewer CSD, PROD, and BLPPROD candidates in the new page feed. However, the majority of the backlog still dates back to before ACTRIAL started, so consider reviewing articles from the middle or back of the backlog.
  • The NPP Browser can help you quickly find articles with topics that you prefer to review from within the backlog.

New Years new page backlog drive

Hello Celestinesucess, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!

Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!

We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!

The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.

Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:

  • The total number of reviews completed for the month.
  • The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.

NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.

Hello, Celestinesucess. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Rose Atinga Bio".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 02:00, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter

Hello Celestinesucess, thank you for your efforts in reviewing new pages!
The NPP backlog at the end of the drive with the number of unreviewed articles by creation date. Red is older than 90 days, orange is between 90 and 30 days old, and green is younger than 30 days.

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 3819 unreviewed articles, with a further 6660 unreviewed redirects.
  • We are very close to eliminating the backlog completely; please help by reviewing a few extra articles each day!

New Year Backlog Drive results:

  • We made massive progress during the recent four weeks of the NPP Backlog Drive, during which the backlog reduced by nearly six thousand articles and the length of the backlog by almost 3 months!

General project update:

  • ACTRIAL will end it's initial phase on the 14th of March. Our goal is to reduce the backlog significantly below the 90 day index point by the 14th of March. Please consider helping with this goal by reviewing a few additional pages a day.
  • Reviewing redirects is an important and necessary part of New Page Patrol. Please read the guideline on appropriate redirects for advice on reviewing redirects. Inappropriate redirects can be re-targeted or nominated for deletion at RfD.

New Page Review Newsletter No.10

Hello Celestinesucess, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.

Paid editing

  • Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled

  • While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.

News

  • The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the The Signpost's editorial team for the next issue.

NPR Newsletter No.11 25 May 2018

Hello Celestinesucess, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • WP:ACREQ has been implemented. The flow at the feed has dropped back to the levels during the trial. However, the backlog is on the rise again so please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day; a backlog approaching 5,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.

Deletion tags

  • Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders. They require your further verification.

Backlog drive:

  • A backlog drive will take place from 10 through 20 June. Check out our talk page at WT:NPR for more details. NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.

Editathons

  • There will be a large increase in the number of editathons in June. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.

Paid editing - new policy

  • Now that ACTRIAL is ACREQ, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. There is a new global WMF policy that requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

  • The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
  • Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies.

Not English

  • A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, tag as required, then move to draft if they do have potential.

News

  • Development is underway by the WMF on upgrades to the New Pages Feed, in particular ORES features that will help to identify COPYVIOs, and more granular options for selecting articles to review.
  • The next issue of The Signpost has been published. The newspaper is one of the best ways to stay up to date with news and new developments. between our newsletters.

Request reason:

Celestinesucess informed me that the IP she is using (104.243.210.70) is blocked as of today. Did she run into some range block or is the IP on some proxy blacklist? I can assure that she is not a vandal, but the choice of providers in her country is rather limited. --Gereon K. (talk) 17:31, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

Accept reason:

She has tripped a whole series of autoblocks and proxy blocks! I have issued an IPBE for 2 months that will see the blocks expire. Just Chilling (talk) 19:02, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
