Using student theses[edit]
Just wanted to stop by an ask why your using sources that are WP:SELFPUBLISH. There has been some talk about reverting all this additions because they are not reliable sources. Student theses are not a good source.Moxy (talk) 23:24, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hello. Thanks for stopping by. I would strongly disagree with the statement that theses and dissertations are self-published. They are published by the University and don't fit the WP:SELFPUBLISH guidelines, although I could argue that in most instances the authors, going on to publish more in that field, could qualify as experts by that definition. If you are considering reverting all edits, I would like to be involved in that discussion. The regulations say that these resources must be of significant value, but I can't seem to get a detailed definition of what that means. Cbakker (talk) 14:21, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
