Oscar Ameringer[edit]
Hi Camrowland91,
I've noticed you added Oscar Ameringer to the "Notable people from Laupheim" section. Are you sure that he was born there? According to my information he was born in Achstetten, a small village about 2.5 miles north of Laupheim. This is confirmed by the short biography on the website of the "Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte" [1], a website of the Bavarian Ministry of Science , Research and Art (even though they got it wrong in placing Achstetten in Bavaria). Oklahoma Historical Society's Encyclopedia of Oklahoma History & Culture [2] also states that he wa born in Achstetten as does the Encyclopedia of the Great Plains [3]. However, on the net I did indeed find a reference to him having been born in Laupheim (spelled Loubheim, like it was 1000 years ago). The German Wikipedia also gives his place of birth as Achstetten (admittedly, they don't give a reference). So, I was wondering as to whether you are really certain about his place of birth being Laupheim. --Ekki01 (talk) 17:18, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
