Hello, you may think this is a new member on Wikipedia, but it is not. It is a role account for CanadaGirl. It will be used instead of the main account (so as not to inflate the edit count anymore) for things like:

  • spelling corrections
  • categorizing and category fixes
  • (more tasks later as I think of them)

It will not be used for sock puppet voting or any similar action that would be considered circumventing policy.

Also, this is not a bot.

Eaton's[edit]

Hi. Glad to see that you're interested in the Eaton's articles. It really is excessive to create a subcategory for the Eaton family members, however, esp. since there is already a list and the topic is arguably better handled that way. The Eaton's category is already fairly small, and it is not helpful to the reader to create unnecessary subcategories. I'd be happy to discuss it further, though. CSD[edit]

Thanks for tagging a lot of articles for CSD - I really appreciate your effort! However, when you tag empty categories, use CSD C1 instead of A1. C1 states that categories that have been empty for more than one week can be speedily deleted. Thanks! --M@thwiz2020 01:42, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

how did you do that? I would have on my own if i could. JamieJones talk 00:35, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Egyptologist categories[edit]

Thanks for tagging those categories for redirection. I hadn't done much with categories before this, and wasn't entirely sure how to fix my mistake. -Colin Kimbrell 22:39, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for categorizing the above. St Ignatius' College is not an English "public" school, however. It was a grammar school but is now a comprehensive. Is there a more appropriate category for it?Phase1 11:47, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category:New York State routes[edit]

Thanks you for attempting some kind of cleanup, however, I reverted your change because we are in the process of renaming the articles from "New York State Highway N" to "New York State Routes N" (where N is the route number) since NYSDOT does not call their numbered state roads "Highways", but refers to them as "Routes" instead. Creating a redirection category was one of the first steps in correcting this problem. As the articles are renamed and edited, this category can eventually be not redirected and the other one will be. Small steps for a large task. FYI: There is also a Wikipedia:WikiProject New York State routes under which this items are being discussed and organized.

Category remamings[edit]

Why you want to rename the categories I conceived like "Ashevillians" and "Greenvillians"? To me it's common, they have categories like for example "Saint Louisans" or "Atlantans".

Category:Wikipedians by alma mater:Catholic education:Christian Brother isn't an empty category--64.12.116.11 19:12, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it is, I just looked. The only thing that was there was your mistaken addition of my talk page to it. CG janitor 19:16, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, there are over 77 users listed under this category, it most certinaly is NOT empty--64.12.116.137 19:34, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you read my comment at that category, you'll see that it is a vandal (with an IP in the same range as yours) that has added all the pages. CG janitor 19:38, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's absurd, there are almost 200 users in that category, are you really implying that I somehow added 200 people to an "empty" category over the course of 10 minutes?--64.12.116.11 19:40, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Either that or you had help. It was empty 15 minutes ago CG janitor 19:41, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Had help??? has it occured to you that maybe you were looking a different category?--64.12.116.11 19:42, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I had that category open all along, and I watched as it became populated and more populated. CG janitor 19:44, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's a nice theory, but unless I'm superman I just don't see how I could have managed such a thing, so why not just admit your error and remove the tag?--64.12.116.11 19:47, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Let's just wait until an admin makes a decision. CG janitor 19:50, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, let's--64.12.116.11 19:51, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well? have you reconsidered the speedy delete template?--64.12.116.11 20:03, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedian User Categories[edit]

Perhaps it would be better if the user categories contained within are actually prepended with "User:" or "Wikipedian:" so as to identify them as non-Encyclopedic? 132.205.45.148 18:21, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An accounting puzzle[edit]

Hi, nothing needs to be done .When the outstanding cheques are presented for payment at the banks , the balance with them will automatically come down to match with the balance as in the client's bank book/ledger in accounting software.Till then the outstanding cheques will appear in the bank reconciliation .This is not an unusual situation. The difference between the balance as per the client's books and the banks' books may also be caused by the cheques/instruments deposited by the client but not yet credited/collected by the bank.In that situation the balance as per the bank would be lower than what you get in your account books ( accounting software).

If you indeed wish to have the same balance at both places at any point of time you may simply reverse the outstanding transactions before/ on that date and pass journals again in next period/year-or simply do a reversing journal-most accounting software do provide reversing journals functionality.

Hope this helps. Shyamsunder 14:12, 08 July 2006(UTC)

Soft category redirects[edit]

Hi there. I was investigating some categories while helping to finish setting up the article rating scheme for Wikipedia:WikiProject Middle-earth and I noticed that there were two existing 'soft' category redirects, both linked to your /Watch4 subpage of your user page:

Any advice on what to do here would be appreciated. One problem is that this form of redirection puts the redirects in the category they are redirecting to, which seems silly. I would be in favour of deleting the redirects altogether. Carcharoth 12:43, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Carcharoth 13:32, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Watch pages 2-5[edit]

If it's not too much trouble, could you explain the watch pages to me (Watch2, Watch3, Watch4, and Watch5)? Are these list automatically generated? What do the list items all have in common? Can I help somehow? Thank you. Jecowa 04:22, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you undo this edit?[edit]

I moved free transfer to free transfer (soccer); thus CanadaGirl wants to work on the latter now, not the former. --NE2 04:48, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, sorry about that. --NE2 20:15, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
