Preposterous! My dear old chap, I do wish that you would stop asking me to use citations! It is getting rather ludicrous, and I think, candidly, insulting my “user page” by branding it with such allegations such as not even attending Westminster University is quite awful, and that one should be shamed! Also insulting ones political stance should also be frowned upon. However, I was morbidly insulted by your comments on my “talk page”. Good day to you!

I can understand your annoyance at some of the vietnamese scientists pages added by the above ed., but if they are not notable--or perhaps absurd--we have to get remove them properly. They do have context (as another well-respected ed. agrees), and they do assert notability. The practice is not to use speedy on suspected hoaxes. Normally I'd suggest prod, but since the tags are likely to be removed, probably then need to go to AfD. Dude, seriously - you need to relax a bit. Life isn’t all about research and fact hunting. You went crazy when you saw a hoax page, and did hours of research into it. It was a blatant hoax, and it WAS just a childish game, which you got involved in. I hope you’re happy that you spotted the hoax, but anyone could have done it. You even got your friend on the case to do research into it!

I agree that Wikipedia has no place for rubbish, but it’s the administrator’s job to delete the rubbish. I think at the end of the day, you've got to have fun and researching about some fake person isn't the way to do it. I think to a degree everyone’s idea of fun is different, but almost everyone in this world will agree that what you did wasn't it. I’d prefer to play scrabble with Arabic letters than research into a prank, if you want a debate then I’ll be on my user page, I always enjoy having chats with you - that IS fun!

Wow, I just left you quite an awful comment, and you returned it quite considerate and humble. We may have differences - notably in age, and politically we may not see eye to eye - but everyones different. I think one calls it Natural Variation, I retract my previous comment, and I'll clear the rubbish off the Tran Hong Viet. It was quite funny though, you have to admit that much, if you can take your logical mind off for a second, it is briefly amusing.

Now that I had a read of the page and checked your reference at the Bath postal museum, I see that it is a simple copy and paste. This is a violation of their copyright material and this is not acceptable for Wikipedia. If you wish to rewrite the article based on this reference, but not this source alone but with other sources I am sure it will be acceptable however lifting someone else's copyright material is not permitted. Sorry about that. as i said before i didn't have time to complete the article that copy and paste was going to be edited and cut and changed a lot but i simply didn't have but i realise it was wrong of me to leave that material on the page when it might infringe copywrite. A bit of useful advise for you if you are preparing an article that is not ready for prime time, especially if you have serious issues with the data you are working from, like a copyvio as in this case, is to start a user page for the article. In this case you could have started User:CDuck2/John Palmer as a draft page and pasted the contents into a new page when finished. I do this quite a bit, as in the case of 68b and Official mail. OK, so I will dig out my references and start a new page with the name mentioned above so put it on your watchlist. When we are happy with it, one of us can move it to the main-space or cut and paste the final text into the old page. So there is a good start and I see you also added some edits, but I was surprised that neither the Bristol Old Vic article nor the Theatre Royal Bath link mention Palmer at all. Should the external link be used if there is no mention of Palmer (I think not) and should one add some info on Palmer to the Bristol Old Vic article if appropriate?

I will continue to add some more as time permits. Some of the external link references basically give the same details but we should really look through them to see what else can be added. BTW, do you have access to the book "John Palmer (of Bath) Mail Coach Pioneer" at your local library. You can use this page to link to most UK library catalogues. I could not find one here in the US unless I buy it for about $20 or there is a non-borrowing copy at the New York Public Library that I might go to see sometime when I go to NYC which is only occasionally and not usually for pleasure with time to myself. ww2censor 15:21, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the subject of the theatres although Palmer is not mentionede the both mention the date they received a royal patent which an important aspect of Palmers time their, and the link between the two was the inspiration for the mail coach system, but i agree that if they don't mention palmer they should be removed. a copy of John Palmer (of Bath) Mail Coach Pioneer is avaliable at my local library so i will go and collect it in the next few days. No not yet unfortunately, i went to my library but according to the internal system the haven't had the book in stock for a few years whilst the online customer server says that is in stock, they said they could order it in and let me know when they have it in.
