This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Canada Education Park, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.chilliwackeconomicpartners.com/canada-education-park/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Hello, Buffalkill, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Neighbourhoods in Chilliwack, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Communities in Chilliwack. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 20:17, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Transclusions[edit]

Transclusion are not to be used for a few sentences. Articles such as Yarrow, British Columbia should not include just one sentence. Write some sentences, just don't do the lazy way of copying. Bgwhite (talk) 07:25, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chilliwack, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rugby (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Chilliwack[edit]

Please familiarize yourself with our categorization rules at WP:DIFFUSE. If a city has its own dedicated "eponymous" category, then that category gets filed in Category:Cities in British Columbia, while the article itself does not — since Category:Chilliwack is already in that same category, the city's article does not need to be in both categories at the same time. And all cities in Canada are subcategorized by province or territory — they get filed only in either their own eponymous category if they have one, and only in the "Cities in Province/Territory" category if they don't; no city ever goes directly in Category:Cities in Canada under any circumstances. Dorothy Kostrzewa[edit]

Hi - thanks for recreating Dorothy Kostrzewa. I created a bio a few years back that was eventually deleted for being non-notable. Were you able to recover any of the content from wikipedia admins? Canuckle (talk) 01:46, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Abbotsford Hospital needs review[edit]

Hiya, given your interest in a Fraser Valley wikiproject, I hope you might be interested in reviewing Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre so that it can get put on the main site. Would appreciate your 2nd set of eyes on it.

Also, I came across Abbotsford Times. If that newspaper has been closed up, someone should merge it with Abbotsford News. Hope that is up your alley.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New 10,000 Challenge for Canada[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the material you included in the above article was copied from http://chilliwacksportshalloffame.com/nomination-form/, a copyright web page. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions or if you think I made a mistake. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 17:35, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Chilliwack Sports Hall of Fame[edit]

Hello, Buffalkill,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Chilliwack Sports Hall of Fame should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chilliwack Sports Hall of Fame .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Cut-n-paste page move[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Chilliwack Chiefs (2011–) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Chilliwack Chiefs. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.
