Hey, thanks for editing the Satyamev Jayate article! We edit articles daily with many new editors and discuss it on this FB page. Do join if you feel like. Thanks :) Noopur28 (talk) 07:32, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Peppermint, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You appear to have added a blank URL as a source, and have stated what looks like they might be controversial health benefits as facts. Firstly, you'd need an actual source, and then if you can find a suitably reliable one, you would probably need to write it as "It is claimed that..." (depending on what the source actually says). -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:13, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

Thnaks for pointing this out. I have inserted the link alongwith the information now.BrightStarSky (talk) 09:10, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Your recent addition to Light

Your addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

I've reverted your recent addition to light as it contained a direct copy of material on this website as well as either too close paraphrasing or copyvio of content from other websites. I see that you have been warned of this above, if you continue to add copyvio material to articles you may be blocked from editing. Vsmith (talk) 14:24, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

Apologies for the error. Will make a note of this BrightStarSky (talk) 09:10, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Someone removed edit(s) you made here. Some or all of the content appears to be copy and pasted from here.

We have warned you about this before, and you are continuing. I spend ages reverting lots of your copy pastes. This is really the last warning I will give you. If you persist, you may be blocked from editing. I don't want to see that happen because you otherwise make good edits. So, again, to be clear: you cannot copy paste content from websites into articles.

For further information, please read Wikipedia:Copyright violations. If you have questions, please ask. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:48, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Whoa!

Looking at your recent edits, I see plenty more since the first warning. Please, before you do anything else, go back and remove all the copy pastes. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:00, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

I will remove the copyrighted stuff now.BrightStarSky (talk) 10:07, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Okay. I removed most. You can do the rest. Cheers. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:21, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

References

Please use high quality references per WP:MEDRS. NICE has not yet recommended botox. I'm also concerned about the choice of references you've been adding to verify scientific and medical information. I see that other editors have been removing some of them. Could you discuss them here, on the article talk pages, or at WP:RSN? I'll follow up when I have more time to look at the sources. --Ronz (talk) 07:15, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Hey Ronz, Just wanted to check if we treat www.emedtv.com as a reliable source.Thanks. (BrightStarSky (talk) 09:52, 26 May 2012 (UTC))

Thanks for responding. My impression is that emedtv.com should not be used for medical/scientific information, but might be used in other situations. It is one of the references which I want to examine in more detail. --Ronz (talk) 16:25, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Italian earthquakes

Hello - I was sorry to revert your work. Your change highlights the fact that the article currently seems to have nothing at all on the overall topic of seismic activity (illustration) in Italy. Cheers, —MistyMorn (talk) 08:11, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

No worries. But how about introducing a new paragraph on earthquakes in the same article, as its the second earthquake in 10 days in Italy.Cheers.BrightStarSky

Yes, the page really does need some more general encyclopedic information on seismic and volcano activity in Italy, but I'm not really the right person for the job. You might like to take a glance at the List of earthquakes in Italy (I've just added this external link), as well as the dedicated 2012 Emilia earthquakes article. —MistyMorn (talk) 08:56, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Please read WP:MEDRS and use ideal references such as review articles. Note review articles are NOT the same as peer reviewed articles. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 08:19, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

You've been notified multiple times about our policies and guidelines for sources, yet are still creating blatant problems like using a press release to add highly promotional information to an article[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]. I'm afraid that continued editing like this will lead to your account being blocked. --Ronz (talk) 16:11, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Ronz, I apologise for it and will be careful in future. Thanks. BrightStarSky
Thanks. My concern at this point is that you simply don't understand why these edits are problematic, so you keep repeating them again and again.
Do you understand what a press release is? Do you understand why they are usually not an appropriate source, and when used need to be done with care and with other sources to avoid bias? Can you identify press releases when you see them? --Ronz (talk) 16:39, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
A couple of suggestions: Until you're more familiar with identify different types of sources and determining which are appropriate per Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, avoid adding medical or scientific information to avoid MEDRS problems, and avoid business information such as product announcements, price changes, business partnerships, and generally any announcement that isn't clearly being covered by independent media. --Ronz (talk) 16:50, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Ronz, now I realise I have been updating info in the articles based on Press release. I was not aware that using them causes complications. But now I ll be very careful about the above mentioned topics.Thank you so much.I would take care and this won't happen again.Cheers.

It's an easy mistake to make. Let me know if I can help. --Ronz (talk) 16:59, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

This is by no means the first time that you have copy/pasted from a source. If you persist in this type of behaviour then you will find yourself blocked from contributing. We simply cannot allow people to break the law in this manner. Sitush (talk) 13:11, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

I agree. You should consider this your last warning. One more time and I will seek to have you blocked. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:19, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure I understand. How could it have been done accidentally? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:39, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

Comment: Actually, this is quite simple. BrightStarSky, you make good edits and we need you. You find facts and add them with a reference. That's a really, really good thing. We need more people who do that. The only single problem I see is copy pasting, and occasionally too close paraphrasing. If you just write in your own words from the source, you will be just fine. This is a pretty simple problem to fix. Easy. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:43, 23 June 2012 (UTC) Got it. Thanks! BrightStarSky

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Dani Pedrosa, makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. July 2012 Study of authors of health-related Wikipedia pages

Dear Author/BrightStarSky

My name is Nuša Farič and I am a Health Psychology MSc student at the University College London (UCL). I am currently running a quantitative study entitled Who edits health-related Wikipedia pages and why? I am interested in the editorial experience of people who edit health-related Wikipedia pages. I am interested to learn more about the authors of health-related pages on Wikipedia and what motivations they have for doing so. I am currently contacting the authors of randomly selected articles and I noticed that someone at this address recently edited an article on Insulin. I would like to ask you a few questions about you and your experience of editing the above mentioned article and or other health-related articles. If you would like more information about the project, please visit my user page (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Hydra_Rain) and if interested, please reply via my talk page or e-mail me on nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk. Also, others interested in the study may contact me! If I do not hear back from you I will not contact this account again. Thank you very much in advance. Hydra Rain (talk) 13:03, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

News stories

Please can you stop distilling your reading of the day's newspapers into umpteen articles. Just because something appears in a newspaper does not mean that it is encyclopedic. - Sitush (talk) 10:31, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

And even when it is encyclopedic, as with some of your recent contributions at Anna Hazare, you need to be aware of WP:CRYSTAL and of the pitfalls to be found when reporting rumours etc in biographies of living people - basically, be safe and don't do it. - Sitush (talk) 10:39, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Copyright violations, again

I just checked four of your latest contributions. Three are copyright violations:

How many more will we find? You've been cautioned about this again, and again, and again, and again. What have you to say about this? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:19, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Very sorry for these violations. Believe, these are unintentional. In heat of things, certain things get missed. These violations will never be repeated. BrightStarSky (talk)
More:
You seem like a nice person, and always apologize and say it won't happen again. But, you keep on doing it again and again. I don't believe you will stop, and I don't believe things just got missed in the heat of things. This is copy pasting plain and simple. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:33, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
There are dozens, perhaps hundreds more. Almost every single one of your edits is copy pasted. This should be taken seriously. This is persistent and deliberate copyright violations after many warnings. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:35, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

This will be avoided and no such an edit will be made.BrightStarSky (talk) 10:48, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

This is, I think, the sixth time you've said that. I don't believe you. And, your explanation "...these are unintentional. In heat of things, certain things get missed..." is not credible. And what about the hundreds of edits you've already made that contain copy paste? Will you go back and rewrite all of them? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:59, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Vsmith (talk) 12:00, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

I understand that I have been blocked for copyright violation. No such violation shall recur and I will contribute positively to Wiki.

You said that before and continued:
  • "Apologies for the error. Will make a note of this"
  • "I will remove the copyrighted stuff now."
  • "I believe I wrote stuff in my own words nevertheless I ll be careful next time.Thanks."
  • "Sitush and Anna, I apologise. This was not done deliberately. Nevertheless thank you for pointing out the error."
  • "Very sorry for these violations. Believe, these are unintentional. In heat of things, certain things get missed. These violations will never be repeated. "
  • "This will be avoided and no such an edit will be made."
Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:57, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
You obviously want to help the project or you wouldn't be doing all this work. You must understand that copy pasting is not allowed and not wanted. We are all puzzled why you persist in doing it.
If unblocked, would you spend a few hours going over your previous edits and removing what needs to be removed? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 15:03, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Yeah I would recheck my edits and make amendments. But I honestly believe that my edits are not simply copy paste. I have used my own language.I have been getting positive feedback from many other Wikipedians for my work, so you can understand my intention is to do good work and enhance my knowledge as well.Nevertheless I ll recheck to ensure no violation persists.kindly unblock my ID so that I can contribute to Wikipedia.BrightStarSky (talk) 16:22, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

To request an unblock, place {{unblock| reason=Your reason here}}, and an admin will review it. You should read the Guidelines for appealing blocks first though. Mdann52 (talk) 16:30, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Before you request an unblock, please read on...
I'm not sure that you see the problem. It's been explained to you above many times. In a nutshell, you cannot simply copy paste the sentence from a new site and change a word or two. There can be no exact duplicate of a large segment of a sentence. You really need to reword the entire thing. Positive feedback from many other Wikipedians doesn't change the facts. And, when you say "I have used my own language", that is simply not true. You have indeed copy pasted.
A good plan would be to go to the section above entitled "Copyright violations, again". Select the first entry and type here what you think a good replacement would be. If you can do that, I'm sure an administrator would consider unblocking you. But for now, it is important for you to not only say you understand the problem (which actually now you do not), but instead, to demonstrate. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:34, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Let me get you started

Below is the first item from section "Copyright violations, again". Do you see how you saying "I have used my own language" and "I honestly believe that my edits are not simply copy paste" is just not true? Can you see how this is in fact copy paste?

  • Your text:

On 12 August 2012, BJP leader L K Advani, pitched for holding simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and State assemblies which should have a "fixed tenure" and sought the President's initiative in this regard, saying frequent polls affect decision-making process.

  • The news media source:

"BJP leader LK Advani on Sunday strongly pitched for holding simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and state assemblies which should have a "fixed tenure" and sought the President's initiative in this regard, saying frequent polls affect decision-making process."
(source: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics/nation/lk-advani-seeks-simultaneous-polls-for-lok-sabha-state-assemblies/articleshow/15458414.cms)

Please rewrite in your own words here, and we will see how it looks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:41, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Hey Anna, I apologise. This one is too similar.I could do it this way..
BJP leader L K Advani has sought President's intervention in holding elections for Lok sabha and state assemblies in tandem to ensure no impact on decision making process.

Oh dear. Okay. Well, maybe that was a hard one. Let's try the second one:

  • Your text:

"On 13 August 2012, CBI will most likely file a charge sheet against Prasad and others in a case that is threatening to turn as big as the one Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is facing for acquiring assets as a quid pro quo."

  • The news media source:

"The CBI will most likely file charge sheet on Monday against venture capitalist Nimmagadda Prasad and others in a case that is threatening to turn as big as the one Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is facing for acquiring assets as a quid pro quo." (source: http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Hyderabad/article3757008.ece)

Please rewrite in your own words here, and we will see how it looks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:59, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

By the way, we haven't even touched on the nature of your edits. As Sitush mentioned above, many are sort of news updates, and may not be considered encyclopedic. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:07, 12 August 2012 (UTC) This can be re-written as "CBI is to file a charge sheet on disproportionate assets against Prasad and others and the case may prove to be as serious as the one going on against Y.S. Jagaohan Reddy." BrightStarSky (talk) 03:38, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

BrightStarSky, "will most likely file" is not the same as "is to file" - you are distorting things. Furthermore, press speculation not usually valid content here, and media comparisons with another situation are rarely appropriate either. Basically, this thing should not even be in an article, as Anna strongly hinted. - Sitush (talk) 06:02, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Right, the article may be removed.BrightStarSky (talk) 06:48, 13 August 2012 (UTC) Dear Sitush, due precaution will be taken in selection of articles and their presentation in edits. ThanksBrightStarSky (talk) 06:56, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Looking at the past two examples, I am concerned that you may not be capable of finding facts, writing from the source in your own words, and adding the content to articles. There are also trust issues about copyright violations continuing. So, how would you feel about doing other valued and useful work here at Wikipedia? There are lots of rewarding things for you to do. What do you think? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:13, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

I would be keen to contribute to WIkipedia in which ever way possible. Please guide me on what other things I can do. On content addition and trust issues about copyright violation, I can assure you that I will give you no reason to complain.BrightStarSky (talk) 10:46, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Okay splendid. Before we get you started on wonderful, constructive editing that you will surely love, you will need to undo the damage.
So, step one is to submit an unblock request by filling this out and pasting it at the bottom of this page: {{unblock| reason=Your reason here}}
I suggest you state as your reason that you acknowledge that you copy pasted and that it was wrong, promise never to do it again. State that until permitted to do otherwise, will, under my supervision, begin editing by doing only one thing until satisfactority completed. That thing is to go through your contributions for the last two months, starting with the latest, and remove all copy pasted content, or even somewhat copy pasted content that you added.
Then everyone will forgive you, and the damage will be repaired, and you can move forward with a long and happy relationship with Wikipedia. Okay? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:00, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh, and I cannot promise that an administrator will unblock you. That is up to them. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:02, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

BrightStarSky (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I acknowledge that I have copy pasted content from some sources and agree that it was wrong. I promise never to do it again. If unblocked, I will under the supervision of Anna Frodesiak, begin editing by first removing all the copy pasted from my work of past two months. Once I have completed this exercise satisfactorily then with permission, I may be allowed to start on the usual editing process.

Accept reason:

I will unblock you but you must comply with Anna's guidance. You can do nothing except clean up the information you have copy and pasted. Once Anna is satisfied with your performance she may allow you to do other things. If Anna determines you are not complying with your promise to cleanup your work, you will be reblocked with out notice. GB fan 05:09, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Welcome back

I see that you have been conditionally unblocked. I believe this to be a fair compromise and that you have good intentions. I'll try to help Anna in keeping an eye on the clean-up operation. - Sitush (talk) 08:55, 15 August 2012 (UTC) Thank you.BrightStarSky (talk) 03:29, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Review

  • In this edit(s): [6] you slightly modified your previous contribution "...later this month..." to "...the end of August 2012...", which wasn't really much of a copyvio in the first place.
  • In this edit(s): [7] you rephrased copyvio content to become "...Ramdev called upon the Prime Minister to bring back money illegally stashed out abroad, passing of a strong Lokpal Act and taking steps to eliminate corruption failing which he threatened to start a "big revolution...". Problems: You forgot to close the quotation "big revolution". The source actually says "...announcing immediate steps to bring the money back..." not "...bring back money...". Ramdev "...warned of a revolution..." not "...threatened to start a "big revolution"...".

Please remove the copyright violations. In other words, simply delete what you added. Please do not add new content or reword existing copyright violation content. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:02, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

  • In this edit(s): [8] you reworded the copyright violation content. I don't understand economics-speak, so don't know if it's accurate.
  • In this edit(s): [9] you rephrased from the source correctly, removing the copyright violation. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:17, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
  • In this edit(s): [10] you reworded from the source somewhat inaccurately, but removed the copyright violation.
  • In this edit(s): [11] you swapped the copyright violation "...the Samajwadi Party accused the Congress on playing politics on the issue of Muslim reservation..." with "... the Samajwadi Party accused the Congress of not being serious on the issue of reservation for muslims..." This is not the same.

It is impossible for me to check every edit you make, and so far, 2 out of 6 have been rewording to something the source does not really say. Considering the issue that many of these edits may be basically news updates, and not very encyclopedic, I think it's best to simply remove the offending content entirely. This is also faster for you. Please just go to your contributions for the past 2 months and remove any copy paste, simple as that. Get it done as fast and efficiently as you can, and then you can move forward contributing in a less problematic area. Thank you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:41, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

The fastest way to do this is to check the diffs and copy the content you added to a Google search box. If you see the bulk of it match a newspaper article exactly, then please just remove that whole edit from the article. Please don't just rephrase it. Remove it entirely.

Actually, I guess it's only about 10% of your edits that have this problem, so it will take some time, but probably hours and not days. Thanks for your efforts. I know you are acting in good faith and this is difficult, but please stick with it. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:50, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Anna, I have started working on it. Please advise me if I m going wrong. Thanks for your help.BrightStarSky (talk) 14:06, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

I see you are working on it. That's great. Please continue. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:42, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi Anna, I have revisited and removed the copy vios from all the edits done 1st July onwards. Please let me know if you come across any copy vios other than that. I will promptly remove the same. Also please guide me, so that I can go ahead with the usual editing. Thanks BrightStarSky (talk) 07:17, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

Copy Vio

[12] From where? Facts, not fiction (talk) 16:04, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

BrightStarSky is removing many instances at many articles, and may accidentally remove a few that are not actually copyvios. We are looking for a net gain here, so it may be an acceptable consequence. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:42, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Sorry if I have deleted something that is not a copy violation.BrightStarSky (talk) 08:01, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Not a problem, better safe than sorry. I will rewrite the passages which are removed as time allows. Facts, not fiction (talk) 14:49, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Did you know

But in this case we are talking about small bits of text, so that template is not needed. But thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:19, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
I am not talking about small bits of text (I have clarified). I wasn't trying to confuse him or anything like that. I came here with an intent of helping him. BrightStartSky is a good editor, and I believe he has the potential to become a valuable contributor if he chooses to tread more carefully. Thanks. Mrt3366 (Talk page?) Mrt3366 & Anna ,thank you for reposing you faith in me and guiding me.Hey, just a small clarification from my end...I m a she not he.BrightStarSky (talk) 18:17, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

BSS, should you ever need help please drop a note on my talkpage. If you are unsure about a copyvio or close paraphrasing let me know and I will help you out. Facts, not fiction (talk) 19:52, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
I knew you are a girl. I don't know how. I think you mentioned it sometime back. I figured without knowing for sure, it's better to call a girl a guy than a guy a girl. :) Sorry about that.
Anyway, keep up the good work zapping the copyvios. We are here when you need us. Plow through the dirty work and then we will help in every way we can to get you rolling in a positive direction. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:46, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
Lately, I am running into female editors a lot, is there a userbox to specify your gender? That might come in handy. I guess, Anna you are a "she/her" too?
But how far does gender matter where, anyway, the only means of communication is through text-messages? Mrt3366 (Talk page?) (New section?) 08:06, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Thank you so much,Facts, not fiction. Anna, yeah even I m trying to do this cleaning stuff done ASAP.Thanks for help. Mrt3366,you are right it doesn't matter.BrightStarSky (talk) 15:07, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Copy Vio Removed

Hi Anna, I have revisited and removed the copy vios from all the edits done from 1st July onwards. Please let me know if you come across any copy vios other than that. I will promptly remove the same. Also please guide me, so that I can go ahead with the usual editing. Thanks.BrightStarSky (talk) 10:13, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

During July and August you edited around 1200 different articles. Your copy vio removal work totalled around 120 articles. Are you sure you got them all? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:50, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi Anna, I have meticulously verified each and every contribution made in that period, to catch and remove the copy vios. In a rare scenario if I may have mistakenly missed anything, do let me know I will remove it as soon as possible. Thanks BrightStarSky (talk) 14:10, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

You have new message/s Hello. You have a new message at Anna Frodesiak's talk page. 05:41, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

Your recent edits

In case you didn't know, spaces are normally used with punctuation marks.

Instead of this:
  • I like bunnies(rabbits). They are not only cute, but friendly too.
Try this:
  • I like bunnies (rabbits). They are not only cute, but friendly too.

Moving forward

I have asked Sitush to offer advice. So, this is a good place to discuss options.

There are lots and lots of things that Wikipedia needs, and are rewarding. A good place to start would be asking you what you are interested in.

Looking at the past, I'm not sure that going back to what you were doing before would be a good idea. Persistent copy vio issues aside, there was also the nature of the content itself. Much of it seemed to be "news", and so perhaps not quite suitable for an encyclopedia. Another issue was interpretation of the source. As pointed out in the "Review" section above: "...warned of a revolution..." is not the same as "...threatened to start a "big revolution"...", and another example: "...the Samajwadi Party accused the Congress on playing politics on the issue of Muslim reservation..." is not the same as "... the Samajwadi Party accused the Congress of not being serious on the issue of reservation for muslims..."

One suggestion of something you might like is finding sources for existing content. There are lots of {{citation needed}} templates attached to content. This means that somebody is needed to dig up a good reference to support the claim, and then remove the template. Does this sound like something you would like? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:49, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi Anna, firstly I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity. I would be happy to add the citations and sourced references. Regarding my areas of interest, it primarily includes sports(tennis, rugby, football, MotoGP), Indian culture and history, Hollywood/Bollywood and to some extent science and politics. However, I am open to explore other areas as well.Cheers BrightStarSky (talk) 14:04, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
No need to thank me. I'm just trying to help.
Wow, that's a lot of interests. :)

::*Enter one of these into the search box to see what you get:

tennis incategory:All articles lacking sources
rugby incategory:All articles lacking sources
football incategory:All articles lacking sources
India incategory:All articles lacking sources
Hollywood incategory:All articles lacking sources
Bollywood incategory:All articles lacking sources

That will find articles with no sources whatsoever. You clearly know how to find good media references. If you can add references that support basic facts in the article, that would be great.

(It worked a second ago. I will check to see how to do that right.)

I will continue to look for things you may be interested in. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:42, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
Okay, here we go. Try these:

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:46, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Don't forget to paste this at the bottom of the articles:

==References==
{{reflist}}

Adding even a single reference to totally unsourced articles is a very valuable thing to do here at Wikipedia, and will be much appreciated by all. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:48, 31 August 2012 (UTC

I am going ahead with the links that you have provided. But I have a few doubts..
I have just found a source for a tennis article in a website, so I m not sure what to mention in access date.

I added source to an article based on a film called Bank and the release date info in the article is wrong. The source that I have added says the expected date of release is Nov 2007 while the article says 2010.Let me know if I can make those small changes or ignore them.BrightStarSky (talk) 07:01, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

In deciding on what's fact and what's not, use your judgement. You know how to spot a good source, so do what you think is best. The main thing is not to misinterpret sources. I think you're a pretty good detective for information.
As for accessdates, why not use reflinks? It's easy:
1) Add the reference to the article in the simplest way: Rabbits eat carrots.<ref>http://www.rabbit-diet-info.org</ref>
2) Go to http://toolserver.org/~dispenser/view/Reflinks and click "interactive"
3) Paste in the article name and click "Run reflinks"
4) Preview and save, easy. :)

Hi Anna, Thanks for the handy tip. I am also thinking of updating the performance timelines of players as I did for Bjorn Phau. I hope that's fine. Let me know if you think otherwise. Cheers BrightStarSky (talk) 07:18, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Your edits are looking very good. Sure, please do make the updates. (Try to avoid blogs as references.) Well done. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:08, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
