Thanks[edit]

Thank you for your work on desire (manga), I really appreciated that you put the image on the box.Angel,Isaac 19:20, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I like working with obscure articles to even out the quality of Wikipedia. Breed Zona 22:35, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About Me[edit]

Like you I also like to focus on articles that are least noticed, I also do not like to edit long articles that are well developed. I also like to create new articles about things such as mangas, authors, video games etc...I do not know what it is, I guess I am more attracted to things that are not noticed by many people. For example I provided a lot of information about the discography of patrice Rushen and Stacey Q. Two great singers who fall on the obscure list. Please go to my page, I have a lot subjects there that you might want contribute to. See Ya! And again thank you for your help on desire (manga).Angel,Isaac 18:52, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And one more thing[edit]

I did not know you answered my first message because you did not send me another message back to me. Could you do that so that I know next time, See Ya!Angel,Isaac 18:53, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great Work[edit]

I saw your work on Dandelion Wine, and you are doing a great work on it. I did not read the about the chapters becuase I did not want to spoil the book because I might read it later on. I added the spoiler warning alerts for you, keep on doing the good work. See ya! and thanks again for your help and your work on yellow (manga).Angel,Isaac 16:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The reason I reverted that change is that the same IP was on a vandalism spree at that point, and is now blocked for 24 hours. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 19:02, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I generally assume that an anon IP editing a user page is probably vandalism, but that edit seemed pretty benign, so if it hadn't been for the ongoing vandalism spree I would have just sent you a note instead of reverting it. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 19:26, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Citations etc.[edit]

Thanks for answering one question for me. The other about references and footnotes. Things are a little ambiguous. but whatever you call them there is clearly a difference between 'footnotes' and 'references'. The 'footnotes' do two things, firstly a short note to expand on the subject in the article but removed to make the main text read more smoothly, and secondly citations ideally down to specific page numbers and lines and paragraphs etc. The 'references' (or sometimes 'bibliography' - which traditionally implies print media) are a list of sources used without linking the source to a particular section of the text and often "without" giving detail down to specific pages. Confussion comes when people somethimes use 'notes', external links, 'references' 'bibliography', footnotes, endnotes, 'citations' etc rather interchangably. Does that help. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 08:47, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Letsallkillconstance.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Letsallkillconstance.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Somethingwickedfirstedition2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Somethingwickedfirstedition2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:07, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Amedicineformelancholy.jpg}[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Amedicineformelancholy.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
