Rebetico[edit]

Hi. The discography section can never be complete. Sure you have found some releases that work, but who is to say that there aren't more? Also you have not included a source for them. I feel the same about the artists as well, though to a lesser extent. There needs to be a source saying that each of those artists signs the genre. Also, avoid saying "see below", etc. As for the American/British spellings, the spelling format of the article was originally American English, so usually the convention is to continue to use that convention. A have never heard of the word syncretism (actually my firefox dictionary does not recognize it either) before and that goes along with the jargon banner added to the top of the page. I found that you used a large amount of music industry terms and analysis that those who are unfamiliar with music genres would have trouble understanding. I'd also like to request that you add additional sources to the page. A rule of thumb is that every sentence have its own reference unless it is either non-"controversial" or obviously sourced by an upcoming reference in a following sentence. I was very happy to see the large expansion you had made on the article as it was needed. I also appreciated that you added reliable sources where applicable. As for the discography, you need not a source that it exists, but that classifies it as rebetiko. Simply listening to the songs and self describing it would be classified as original research. This is one of my main objections and it is fueled by the fact that there have been several wikipedia-wide discussions on the sourcing of genres. I am here if you have any other questions. Music of Greece[edit]

Hi there. I want to congratulate you on your high quality work in expanding the rebetiko page. I was wondering if you would also be interested in revamping the rebetiko section in the Music of Greece page, as well as addressing other related genres of music beginning with that page. Regards.
