Do what you want. It doesn't interest me any longer. I know I am right about Laura Branigan's birth year. But Wikipedia contributors forced me to give up. I recommends sites to avoid wikipedia about Laura though it is nothing which can be said is trustful or reliable. So delete if you like--Born53 swe (talk) 09:35, 14 August 2015 (UTC)-[reply]

You are hereby on my list of people who will be visible when I will go publish with all of Wikipedia so called Laura experts. I am old enough to do what I want without someone is pointing fingers, like you do now. Don't touch my editings of Laura's birth place. It took me almost 2 years before Laura's brother Billy gave me that information. Mount Kisco was my last brick in the wall, so hopefully I will never edit or use Wiki again. I am so sick and tired of those experts who has made my wiki-life to an hell. Protect Mount Kisco and I am out från wiki. OK?--Born53 swe (talk) 07:15, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Idea[edit]

Hey! I've read the discussion at Laura Branigan, and I had a thought. You said her brother confirmed her correct birth-year. If you could get an audio or video recording of him doing so, that would be a reliable source that the page could use! I think that might solve it. TheLogician112 (talk) 19:23, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have his confirmation in a message that he and Laura was born at Northern Westchester Hospital, Mount Kisco. That is all I have. And from US Public Records about Billy https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2738-GFK, and Billy's birth announcement from James & Kathleen Branigan, Patent Trader from 1957 http://chappaqua.advantage-preservation.com/Viewer/?fn=patent_trader_usa_new_york_mount_kisco_19570314_english_7 I shall also mention that this issue is over for me. Case is closed.--Born53 swe (talk) 09:23, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Out of curiosity, have you tried ordering a copy of Ms. Branigan's Social Security application? That would list her date of birth. Muzilon (talk) 13:28, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The order was made December 2015. From my contact in New York. "No news. I will be going up to North Castle next week to visit the public library there and will review their newspapers at that time. I have also sent away for Laura's Application for Social Security Number (SS#) which should have her place of birth listed because she would have needed to use her birth certificate when she applied for her SS#. It may take a few months to receive a response since she is not included in the Social Security Death Index which is online. Thanks but the year doesn't matter. It's the SS number which is the only thing relevant. But no problem. As I said, I have placed the request for it." The name will not be mention here. But has a very high credibility as a genealogist in New York. Please, watch my site for my research. I am so sick and tired of not being trusted. Or maybe who cares about Wiki. Laura's little brother Billy is very impressed of my research, after he was checking it out. And his words are more valuable than wikis. Since spring 2014 this has going on. It has almost killed me when I have to defend my research. Laura's official website was going to take legal action against me, but withdraw it when they were told they would lose. So instead they have blocked and banned me for lifetime. --Born53 swe (talk) 13:55, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good luck with your research then. I have been working on the biographies of movie stars John Dall and Simon Oakland – there is similar confusion about their birthdates. :) Muzilon (talk) 14:07, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you need old papers....This is a very good site http://www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html Good luck to you as well.--Born53 swe (talk) 14:19, 3 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bra, tack :) I actually considered ordering John Dall's birth certificate, but New York State won't release it without a court order. (I did manage to get his Social Security application and California death certificate.) Did you say your genealogist friend has ordered Laura Branigan's New York birth certificate? I'll be interested to see how that works out. Muzilon (talk) 10:54, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Muzilon...Bra tack? Sverige som jag? --Born53 swe (talk) 18:38, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Zealand actually, but I know a few words of the language. Muzilon (talk) 00:35, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Muzilon...I don't like wikipeople though they are not capable to collect things in a basket, think logical how different things work together and then make the conclusion. For instance, all my sources shows together that Laura was born 1952.

Sadly but wikipeople can't see how all this sources works together in one direction....1952. Wikipeople or so called experts reads sources one by one and are blind for seeing the whole issue. I have a friend in Connecticut who has helped me with parts of Laura's early life, though they both grew up and lived in Armonk, Westchester County. She was one of the 3 girls who made a forbidden trip a so called "Stowaway" which was a funny story in a video with Laura in 1985. You can read about it here, scroll down to 3 girls. http://chappaqua.advantage-preservation.com/Viewer/?fn=patent_trader_usa_new_york_mount_kisco_19690911_english_23 and see the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCh-bg4VeQs. If you read the comments you see the uploader RunAndPlay. She met Laura in 1981 when she worked at Atlantic Records (Laura's first label who signed her 1979) in New York. Laura used to visit the office and RaP and Laura soon became friends. She has still a lot of confidential records with Laura's name and also Atlantics. She is the one who has given me a lot of old pictures from her Laura collection. And that is huge! The other one of my friends makes comments of the real true story. Laura's mouth slipped away (as usually) of arrest, handcuffs, etc. and suddenly the truth came up after so long time. She has been silence since 1969, but she felt she must tell the truth. And I had a message from her 3 days ago where she says how sadly it is to see how how wiki is treating the truth about Laura. So therefore she will give me something special, what it is I don't know. She wrote "I'm so very sorry to hear this, Stig-Ake. It's hard to believe such a ridiculous need for them to protect a lie about when Laurie was born. She's no longer with us, what in the world could it matter to them now to reveal the truth? Unfathomable. If I had more time, I'd do something about it myself. I'll write you this week when I have more time. It might not help, but we'll both feel better! ❤️ So Muzilon, this was a new comment from me ((damn it), and I shouldn't really care, but I feel for your project of former stars. It would be wonderful to read about it. Here is another link for you, maybe you have seen it. They are recommended as one of the best sites in the world of old papers. trove.nla.gov.au Best luck!--Born53 swe (talk) 08:38, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I see you mentioned you've now received the Social Security form. Are you going to put a scan on your Pinterest page? Muzilon (talk) 18:04, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I have her signed SSN-card. But I don't know what to do, I have a friend in America who advice me to slam and sue wikipedia. Even if I have shown all real sources I have been treated as a liar. And this document will throw all sources and references into the boiler and let them burn to dust. This document shows that Laura's managers was lying in 2004 when Laura passed away. And wiki believed them although my sources.--Born53 swe (talk) 18:47, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Muzilon, it's you!! Please, advice me as well. Maybe if....send me an email to born53@gmail.com and I send you a copy of the document. OK?--Born53 swe (talk) 18:50, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Muzilon you can find the application here. Laura's SSN application with birth information and signature --Born53 swe (talk) 19:14, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Very interesting, thank you. It says she was born in Manhattan NY, which seems to contradict other sources. Is your genealogist friend still trying to get a copy of the birth certificate? Muzilon (talk) 19:43, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Muzilon, is it possible you could do me a favour? May I ask you if you could make a note in the Talk-page like "I have seen this document from Born53, and it seems to he has been right all the time. Laura Branigan was born July 3, 1952. Laura's birth information, biography and timeline is not correct though her birth year now is proved to be 1952." Would you do that for me?--Born53 swe (talk) 06:20, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I can post a comment pointing out the scanned document on your web site, but we will probably be told that "Wikipedia has no way of verifying the authenticity of that scan." You may be interested to read a similar discussion I had here about John Dall's SS-5 and death certificate Wikipedia:Help_desk/Archives/2015_January_14#Uploading_Vital_Records.3F
Muzilon (talk) 06:53, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That's ok, I just made an apologize in the talk-page. And also admitted I have Laura's real birth info. I have also said it is probably the last contribution from me. I have also no intention to make any edits or changes in her wiki even if I could. Someone else who dares or has the curridge to do it is welcome do do it. You see, I am too old for this and my journey with Laura is now over. Maybe I will miss her, I don't know. History will show if I do or not. Autumn has arrived to southwest of Sweden where I live with my wife and 3 small doggies.--Born53 swe (talk) 10:47, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Did you remove the Social Security scan? The link doesn't seem to work any more. Muzilon (talk) 21:04, 8 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Here it is from my research Laura Branigan's SSN application 1970 --Born53 swe (talk) 09:34, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Dispute_resolution_noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Devilmanozzy (talk) 23:22, 10 April 2016 (UTC) Nope, have no idea what you mean. On the other hand it doesn't interest me though I have from today cut all relations with wiki. So what wiki do or writes is not my business. But I hope you don't use my sources though they are not reliable. I will piss off wiki if you do it. I have cut all bounds with wiki, and I hope you do the same to me by making an statement. Thank you! --Born53 swe (talk) 21:45, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

1952 or 1953?[edit]

Hey Stig! I'm sorry for the disappointment you feel. The problem is that we need go by Wikipedia's policies. I'm just trying to understand something though. From the sources at your pinterest, one fact is not clear: was Laura born in 1952 or 1953? From everything I went through, it could be either one of them. How did you come to the conclusion that it is 1952 only (and not 1953)? --Lemongirl942 (talk) 15:24, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have Laura's little brother on Facebook, and he gave me Mount Kisco in January. 1952 has been known since late 2014. If you read my research you will find I have cut all relations with Wikipedia. What you do or write is not my business any more. I hope you don't use my sources, though they are not reliable according to some writers. I will not be or want to be connected to wikipedia in any way. Our friendship is over which I should have understood when the first warnings came in 2015. Now it feels really good not being a part of wiki and its so called experts. Remember, you will always be far, far behind me in my knowledge of Laura. I also have one of Laura's former classmate from High school as a FB-friend. She is very concerned how wiki are treating the truth about Laura. This friend was born in Armonk 1952, and as a classmate to Laura she should know the truth about 1952. I and wikipedia has no longer any relation or connection to each other. And I am really letting people know it.--Born53 swe (talk) 21:33, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stig, thank you for clarifying that. Please don't be disappointed. Today I was looking at some sources where your research could be published. Have you submitted it to TMZ?. From what I know TMZ is a gossip site and by itself, may not be considered very reliable according to Wikipedia policies. However, TMZ seems to have a large following and I have noticed that there have been cases where the mainstream media have picked up important stories after TMZ reported it first. The mainstream media then verifies the facts and reprints the stories (which would be sufficiently reliable for Wikipedia). TMZ seems to have a contact form and another submission form for "tips" on their website. You can try sending it to them (and send a link to your Pinterest site, since it is well organised). Let me know if you get a response. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 05:18, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Find-a-Grave did the same as you. What took me month to convince them, it took somebody only hours to change. So Find-a-Grave is back to where it once was. They did exactly the same as you have done, they didn't read the full text. So now they have, as you have, 2 siblings of the same family, different birthdays but same birth year...1957! Laura Branigan born 1957 and Billy Branigan born 1957. The problem you have now is very delicate (in my view, not yours or wikis), who's birth year shall you change? You can't change's Laura again, that shows only you play with words without understand them. I would have been ashamed of such mistake, but wiki is wiki, the site with no brain cells, or just a few. And you can't change Billy's birth year. He WAS born in 1957 in Mount Kisco. I have him on my Facebook, and why should he lie to me? So you are in real trouble, like Find-a-Grave. I send a message with a picture of google search of wikipedia's Laura Branigan..."Laura Ann Branigan (July 3, 1957 – August 26, 2004) was an American singer, Her younger brother Billy Branigan was born on February 28, 1957! Seconds later I had an answer saying..Please have Laura's Brother, Billy, contact us regarding the update to his sister's birth year. He will need to provide documentation and then the memorial can be updated. Please have him contact famous@findagrave.com as this is a famous memorial. Thank you very much." You see, suddenly they woke up and understood their mistake. My answer "Sorry, no help from me. Ask the person who told you do it instead. What took me month of conversation, someone else did it in just hours. And don't forget to tell the person... always check what you publish. And btw, according to wikipedia you are NOT a reliable source. That's what they told me when they deleted my whole biography of Laura. "Find-a-Grave — which means these are not acceptable sources either." Well, well, how things can just in one second just blow away. Have you deleted my account?"

You do understand that you are in exactly the same situation. Find a Grave has to solve this by their own, as well as wikipedia must solve its problem. At last, I will not contact anybody. My Pinterest are updated with all the latest in this wikigate. Wikipedia, IMDb and Find-a-Grave are right now published on this site..https://se.pinterest.com/born53/laura-branigan-web-media/ Wikipedia-Imdb-Find a Grave and 1957 IMDb had a comment about it, no answer yet. Watch my site, it will be updated several times a day. And thank you for your kind words. Laura's best friend from early 80's is very impressed over my collection. They have the same birth year! Guess which..yepp 1952!----Born53 swe (talk) 18:55, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And? I have cut all relations to wikipedia, I don't want to be connected with wikipedia. If I have to I will take a snapshot of it and let people see it on my research site. What you write or do from April 19 is nothing I care about. So please, don't contact me again. I am finished with wikipedia.--Born53 swe (talk) 21:51, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I need to let you know, you have already been published on my site with following blooper...Google search wikipedia and Laura Branigan..."Laura Ann Branigan (July 3, 1957 – August 26, 2004) was an American singer, Her younger brother Billy Branigan was born on February 28, 1957!" -- Well, well, what do you know? Siblings with different days, but same year! Poor mother Kathleen, first pregnant with Laura from 1952 to July 1957, and during that time she was also pregnant and expecting Billy during 9 month from 1956 to Feb 28, 1957. Ladies from that time was nothing you played with. They did what they could to satisfied Wikipedia in 2016!--Thank you! --Born53 swe (talk) 19:09, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Laura Branigan - update about journalist[edit]

Hey! I was just wondering. I remember long time back I suggested you to email some music journalists. Did you get a response from them? --Lemongirl942 (talk) 06:25, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Thank you so much for your hard work. I am glad that newspapers are now considering rewriting her obituaries. I understand you were frustrated, but that's the thing here - Wikipedia tends to reply on published secondary sources which leads to a "verifiability, not truth" situation. If the newspapers you have written to can rewrite the obituaries or even put a "correction" notice, that would be good enough as a secondary source. Good luck and I hope they publish it soon! --Lemongirl942 (talk) 02:14, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

- They all said no for rewriting Laura's obituary. Only of one reason, the press release from 2004 which says Laura was born in 1957, Brewster, is considered as the only true source. My friend at New York Post, was told NOT to publish anything about Laura. His chief editor said NO. I have one article published in Armonk Daily News remembering Laura's birthday. The strange thing is the sources I sent to her, which she also double checked and also approved, was exactly the same sources which was considered as lies and photoshops by wiki. So people who knew Laura from Armonk in the 50's are wrong according to wiki. I don't get it. I will not give you anything more, though wiki is not a part of me any more. But it was really sad reading how Devilmanozzy told Truth1952 she is NOT reliable. I know who this person is. People in Armonk are laughing at wikis professional biography where Laura and brother Billy is sharing same birth year, 1957. The only thing I can give you is my research. There are new pictures of Laura from 1958, 1959, 1962 and 1963. If Laura was born 1957, who is the girl from class photos at catholic school in Chappaqua? And her signature at the Class Memorial, who wrote that? And who is the girl from 1958 at the birtday party in Armonk? When Truth1952 are considered as NOT trustful or reliable, than I will never be it as well. That's why I am leaving wiki. Laura's biography lies in Devilmanozzy's and others hands. Even sources dismantled by me is still ruling as Devilsmanozzy's trustful and reliable source and reference. Sadly but true--Born53 swe (talk) 10:52, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
