I felt that photo portrays her the best. sorry — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.67.180.38 (talk) 09:13, 25 July 2014 (UTC)xaosflux Talk 00:16, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

Special:PendingChanges needs constant feeding! There was a 20 hour backlog on it earlier today alone, if you can squeeze in one review a day it will help. Happy editing, — xaosflux Talk 02:53, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
Oh wow. Well I will check in once or twice a day and clear it out. I've read the guidelines and about bios of living persons. I am not 100% sure I'll be able to review all of them correctly, so I guess I will just leave pages for someone else if I'm not sure. Thanks again! -BloodDoll (talk) 03:36, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi

Before you undid the thing (to be constructive), did you know what's the difference between an emperor and a king?

Regards,
113.253.172.25 (talk)

Since your edit was to Chinese honorifics, specifically the section named Emperors and the imperial family, it seemed likely to me that it was a vandalism attempt. Generally in Chinese history emperor is the term used for a monarch, not king. If it was a good faith edit I apologize. -BloodDoll (talk) 07:06, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
Yes generally it is. But that's what most of the foreigners (even Chinese) understand the tradition Chinese monarchs by mistake. There are kings (a lot) in Chinese history in the Pre-Qin Dynasty Period (before Emperor Shi Huangdi unified China). Even there're kings and AN emperor at the same time in the late Eastern Han (Three Kingdoms Era). The similar situation existed in the Pre-Qin Period but the king of kings did not proclaim himself as an emperor and he was called the son of heaven of Zhou (周天子) instead. Proclaiming oneself (a king, 王) to be an emperor(帝, or 皇帝 which 帝 is a suffix after 王 (king) and the 皇 has a crown 白 added on his head) was a serious event.
No offense, just to let you know more: Timeline of Chinese history 孤、寡、寡人 were used by the kings and 朕 was used by the emperors to call themselves repectively and seriously.113.253.172.25 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 11:54, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for taking the time to correct my erroneous assumptions about the honorifics used. That is truly fascinating. I also was clearly too hasty in my determination that your edit was vandalism, and I apologize. Also, thanks for contributing your knowledge to the English Wikipedia! You should think about registering an account here, as edits by registered accounts are seen as less suspicious, for the most part. -BloodDoll (talk) 22:22, 28 July 2014 (UTC)

How did you get into this?

What made you become an editor? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.137.88.28 (talk) 23:44, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi, dunno if you'll read this response, but: on a whim and out of a desire to contribute and improve, in whatever small way, the vast sum of human knowledge and accomplishment that Wikipedia catalogues and represents. I am by no means a very active or wide ranging editor, though, so you'd be better off asking someone more deeply involved in this project about their own motivations for contributing. Also take a look at this page if you're interested in becoming an active editor yourself. Thanks for stopping by! :) -BloodDoll (talk) 05:16, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Seid-a-Boom

Seidenburg's nickname is Seid-a-Boom created by fellow teammate Gregory Campbell. Jack Edwards, Announcer for NESN has called him that a few times. I am changing it back on the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomp55 (talkcontribs) 05:22, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia from the Anatomy Wikiproject!

Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Anatomy! We're a group of editors who strive to improve the quality of anatomy articles here on Wikipedia. One of our members has noticed that you are involved in editing anatomy articles; it's great to have a new interested editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing wikipedia articles are:

  • Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on the WikiProject Anatomy talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
  • You will make a big difference to the quality of information by adding reliable sources. Sourcing anatomy articles is essential and makes a big difference to the quality of articles. And, while you're at it, why not use a book to source information, which can source multiple articles at once!
  • We try and use a standard way of arranging the content in each article. That layout is here. These headings let us have a standard way of presenting the information in anatomical articles, indicate what information may have been forgotten, and save angst when trying to decide how to organise an article. That said, this might not suit every article. If in doubt, be bold!
  • We write for a general audience. Every reader should be able to understand anatomical articles, so when possible please write in a simple form—most readers do not understand anatomical jargon. See this essay for more details.

Feel free to contact us on the WikiProject Anatomy talk page if you have any problems, or wish to join us. I wish you all the best on your wiki-voyages! --Tom (LT) (talk) 09:11, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
