link to British[edit]

Hello, when you want to link to the article about something British, please do not link to British, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as United Kingdom, Great Britain or British English by writing out [[United Kingdom|British]] or [[Great Britain|British]]. Re: Vandalism Warning[edit]

Sorry about that, the reason I reverted the changes you made to your page was because you were not logged on to your own account when you (identified only by your IP) removed content from your talk page. It helps if you sign on first before making changes to your account! --Nevhood 01:11, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

extreme POV and dishonest referencing warning[edit]

Your addition at phimosis is not a universally accepted fact, and the reference did not support your assertion. Whether this was carelessness or deliberate dishonesty, do not replace it unless you can offer stronger evidence from the medical literature, not simply an unreferenced patient advice column that does not support your assertion. I will warn you that trying to restart the circ wars here will be a quick route to being banned. alteripse 23:35, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see what relation the point I added to the article has to "circ wars", the contested position that BXO is one of the primary causes of phimosis has nothing to do with opinions on the merits of circumcision as far as I'm aware. Blankfrackis 19:12, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! You had written a comment on Talk:Halakha objecting to making Mosaic law a redirect to Halakha. I wanted to let you know about two options available to you: You can add an entry to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion objecting to this redirect. Or if you'd like, you can create a new article entitled e.g. Mosaic law (Christianity) addressing the subject as a concept in Christian theology. I looked at the history of the Mosaic law article from before it was made a redirect and it looks to me like the article had always described the subject from a Jewish perspective and generally said very little, so it looks like the sort of article you described has never been written and perhaps you might want to write or at least start it. Stewarton article edits[edit]

I take it, since you made a minor change to the Discussion on Stewarton, but didn't change the content, that you have some agreement with the point that there's too much local history in the article. I feel some of the same sympathy that the Discussion editor does: that someone is putting a lot of love into the article, but that it's becoming unreadable. Maybe they'd like to create a new article called "Stewarton (history)"? Anyhow, there's history, and then there's personal essay, and that is contrary to Wiki guidelines. I removed some examples that show the direction the article needs to go. Hopefully that will make the original Discussion editor's comments more definite.24.130.129.140 (talk) 04:52, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:Stewartonviaduct.jpg[edit]

Rergarding File:Stewartonviaduct.jpg. You need to file the permission with Wikipedia:OTRS. Philly jawn (talk) 16:11, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Aberdeen F.C. Page - Edit Revision[edit]

Sorry, but blogs are not permitted per this guideline. Looking back at it, I don't think the forum should be there either. Thanks for your help anyway :D Garden. 18:56, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Psg339rx8.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Psg339rx8.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 21:40, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
