A tag has been placed on Draft:GeeFunding, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. October 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this recent edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from GeeFunding, Inc., a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Bizking2u. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Harry the Dog WOOF 16:17, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

(Bizking2u (talk) 16:29, 27 October 2014 (UTC)). Can you prove the the article as advertising? What make you think the article is advertising compare to similar article in same category. This is a total BIAS and Discrimination[reply]

(Bizking2u (talk) 20:37, 27 October 2014 (UTC)) Hello, Deb. I have read the wiki guideline several and try to change the articles to reflect the rules. The only thing conflicting I saw different is link to other wiki page. Which I have to remove to enable me post the content or article again. Thanks.[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of GeeFunding[edit]

Hello Bizking2u,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged GeeFunding for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 21:29, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

(Bizking2u (talk) 21:56, 27 October 2014 (UTC)) Hello Ubiquity, thanks for the alert. I have changed and rewrite the article several times. I really don't see the advert you made mentioned. Please can you clarify for me what is the advertisement content on the article to enable me remove it. Being a new comer or first article here, it's becoming frustrating for me. Please advice Thanks.[reply]

GeeFunding[edit]

Hi, BizKing. I looked at a cached copy of your article on GeeFunding, and can tell you that there are two reasons why it keeps getting deleted:

  1. The tone is highly promotional, not encyclopedic. For example, "new breath to crowdfunding industry" -- that's advertising talk, not facts.
  2. There was no indication of notability. You need references from reputable sources (not your own webpage) that show that GeeFunding is at least notable enough to have been noticed by other people, and commented on.

Has there been any press coverage of GeeFunding? If so, you could base on article on what was said in the papers. Please read WP:PROMO. ubiquity (talk) 14:19, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reading some of the other comments on this page, I noticed a third reason why your page keeps getting deleted: Conflict of Interest. If an endeavour is truly notable, usually someone not associated with it will be drawn to writing about it. Writing a WP article on your own business suggests lack of notability, and is also prone to lack of objectivity. ubiquity (talk) 14:22, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
