Notabilty[edit]

You don't seem to know the requirements needed for an article to pass WP:Notability guidelines. It needs third party sources from WP:Reliable sources such as manga or anime reviews. See any GA like Edward Elric, Boruto Uzumaki, Yu Kanda, Akane Tsunemori, Makoto Naegi where there is heavy commentary from critics about the character's role in their series in the form of reception sections. The sources used for Shanks are only primary. If you want to make an article, first read the guidelines and practise any draft or sandbox until it seems its possible. That's at least what I do whenever I create an article like say, Courier (Akudama Drive) or Swindler (Akudama Drive) whose series aren't very famous but there is heavy commentary about their creation and how they were received by the media. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 01:44, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think you understand the notability guidelines quite well. I think it was fine to have the ComicBook review on Shanks' page, but we do need to have more reviews like on the pages above. --Plumber (talk) 01:53, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

He actually deleted the Red Haired Shanks page. I do not know if he is just biased because he is a naruto fan, and when it comes to any related to One Piece, he is restricting it compare to the other who were already accepted by wikipedia and the articles look like Shanks page and did not take attention on it. Who would have thought in Wikipedia, this situation can happen here. HAFIZ 01:58, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
Yes, he's done that three times to three different users, including myself. But don't worry, the consensus for Shanks having his own page is clear. This type of stuff is unfortunately rather common in wikis, he is Wikipedia:Edit warring at the moment. But if we keep adding more sources that will make it more likely a page is kept. Shukran for all your contributions! --Plumber (talk) 02:09, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and I also just submitted as Proposal for restructuring the List of One Piece characters page. Take a look at that too. --Plumber (talk) 02:13, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Guys, don't assume bad faith when editing, especially when talking. Work in sources as I said several times but first in the form of a draft until it works. Monkey D. Luffy is also well edited in regards to reception but Shanks has nothing that can make it pass notability so remember to assume good faith rather than being biased.Tintor2 (talk) 02:22, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the Akudama Drive articles. I used the same sites in those articles to expand on Shanks' critical reception. --Plumber (talk) 02:27, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Red-Haired Shanks vote[edit]

Ahlan, thank you for your edits to the Red-Haired Shanks article. A user now proposed it for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Red-Haired_Shanks. Feel free to make your opinion known. --Plumber (talk) 20:42, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
