February 2015[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Comedian has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Comedian. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 19:51, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pierre edwards requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Def Jam's How to Be a Player with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Ducknish (talk) 23:43, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

February 2015[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Pierre edwards, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. A tag has been placed on File:PierreEdwards.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

File permission problem with File:Pierrebookcover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Pierrebookcover.jpg, which you've attributed to Yourself. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mlpearc (open channel) 04:28, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Bestcomic. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Pierre Edwards, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Mlpearc (open channel) 04:32, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

February 2015[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove file deletion tags from file description pages on Wikipedia, as you did to File:PierreEdwards.jpeg, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Mlpearc (open channel) 04:44, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's tagged for deletion because it's a duplicate of File:PierreEdwards1.jpeg, not because you can't use your name. Mlpearc (open channel) 04:46, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Pierre Edwards. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 13:02, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Yesterday, I restored a WP:PROD tag which you had removed here and placed the warning above in this section of your user talk page. Per WP:CONTESTED, I ought not to have restored that tag. Both restoring the removed tag and placing the warning above were errors on my part, for which I apologize. I have re-removed the tag here. Even though the warning above was added by me in error, WP:NOBAN discourages me from removing it. However, per WP:BLANKING, it is OK for you to remove or archive this and other warnings on your user talk page. Again, my apologies for this error. Orphaned non-free image File:FordaLoveofMoneyCover.jpeg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:FordaLoveofMoneyCover.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 19:06, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:PierreEdwardsdirectorchair.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Request reason:

I feel as if I am being targeted. All day instead of helping me everything I do becomes an issue. I needed more mega bytes so I switched to my phones hotspot ....now my ips address is funny. When I was first block it stated issued with ip address. I've been on phone and tablet all day trying to get scholarly/credible articles. I had duplicated pics, but one had chin on the face the other did not. I sent an email asking for help to remove both jpegs. Now everyone one of my picture of Pierre Edwards are gone. You said I need all of my sources cites...so I sat here and figured out citations so I could abide by the rules. Guys I am trying. Not even sure why you would not help instead of the same person citing 3 times in one day. Can I please be unblock. I have worked on this page 7 hours today. And all my work is gone. Nicole Harris.... PS I thought I was banned because of my IP address. I see now I was banned because I copied and paste my user name in the search engine. Every person in america who logs into a computer would be banned for entering info on the wrong screen. I apologize for being upset. 7 hours is a long time. I removed what I said about my employment. I will definitely research and learn more. I am a student by nature. Bestcomic is Pierre Edwards. Every photo was his personal self images. I guess I need to research more. Thank you EordE6 tildes (Bestcomic (talk) 01:11, 17 February 2015 (UTC))[reply]

Accept reason:

By now the request is moot; you are no longer blocked. Huon (talk) 00:49, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I do have to agree with the user here. I see nothing but good faith edits gone a tad wrong. I did get two of your images deleted, but for good reasons. You can't claim an image is yours if it clearly isn't. Thats a flat out no-no. As to the article, it won't be easy, but keep an eye out for news article, these will help establish notability. Second note: The page and work is still there (see: Pierre Edwards), just minus the images. Your block (not ban) is because of "vandalism", absolutely nothing to do with IP addresses (regular admins can't even see those). Third: be careful saying things like this: "I am a Senior Fraud Analyst at a bank with SQL training. I will be sending a letter to your staff and Board of Directors Joseph Klafter, chairman of the Dan David.". Some may take this as a legal threat, which can result in a permanent block. I'm sure this wasn't your intention but keep it in mind while editing. Personally I support an unblock and a invitation to the teahouse for you. Couple thing I need to address here. First, please sign your talk page posts using ~~~~. Second, to reply to another user and notify them you can use {{reply| USERNAME }}. Third, if you didn't take the picture yourself, it will get deleted. Did you take any of the pictures yourself? If not then they are not allowed. Did you know that ...

If you own the copyright to an image that has previously been published elsewhere and wish to release it under a free license to faciliate uploading it to Wikipedia (or, better, the Wikimedia Commons), please provide evidence of the licensing via email to perrmissions-commons@wikimedia.org (see WP:Declaration of consent for all enquiries for a standard release form). @Bestcomic: I'm very sorry but I'm having some trouble understanding what you are trying to say. Did you know there are Wikipedia's in many languages, all of which can be found here. You may find one better suited to your primary language there. The problem with the pictures is they are taken from another website which is not allowed on any Wikipedia or Wikimedia site. If you do own these pictures you can send permission to c:Commons:OTRS and then upload them. But once again I invite you to keep an eye out for a Wikipedia in a language you may be more skilled in and do some work there! EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 01:20, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Wtmitchell: - I have a question. I hate to be a nuisance. I uploaded pictures. How do I request approval before adding to page. I just don't want another speedy deletion nomination. Pierreingreen.jpeg, pierreauburnconcert.jpeg, or pierrenorthcarpicture.jpeg (talk)

There is no dedicated review process for images. If you have taken the photos yourself, own the copyright, and they haven't previously been uploaded elsewhere, and you are willing to release them under a free license that allows everybody to re-use and modify them for any purpose, you can upload them to the Wikimedia Commons. If you own the copyright and are willing to release them under a free license, but they have previously been published elsewhere, say on your Facebook page, we'll need some evidence that you-the-Wikipedia-editor and you-the-copyright-holder are indeed the same person. This evidence can be provided by email via the OTRS process EoRdE6 pointed out above. It can even be provided retroactively if the image has been deleted. However, the people dealing with OTRS submissions are volunteers, too, and there may be some backlog. Huon (talk) 17:25, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion pending for File:Pierrebookcover.jpg[edit]

Hello, Bestcomic. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Pierrebookcover.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:57, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File:Pierrenorthcarpicture.jpeg listed for discussion[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Pierrenorthcarpicture.jpeg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. File source problem with File:PierreEdwards1.jpeg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:PierreEdwards1.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:42, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
