File copyright problem with File:DJ Rupture.JPG[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:DJ Rupture.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 15:56, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help request[edit]

You used the helpme template, but didn't post a question. However, I assume you are looking for advice on how to provide the copyright info for the picture you uploaded - is that correct?
If so, can you please give me some more information and I will advise on how to proceed:
  • Is this image your own work, or are you uploading it with the permission of the copyright holder?
  • Which licence is the image to be released under? Please see WP:ICT/FL for examples of allowable licences.
Post your response below, or better still talk to me live, here or here. ∙ AJChamtalk 19:17, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The image is my own. I simply want to release it completely into the public domain. My name does not have to be published with the image. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bentenn1010 (talkcontribs) 21:29, 11 September 2009
In that case you can edit the image description with the following:
{{Information
|Description= {{en|1=DJ Rupture at a show in Madison Wisconsin Sep. 2009.}}
|Source= Own work by uploader.
|Date= 2009-09-07
|Author= [[User:Bentenn1010|Bentenn1010]]
|Permission= {{PD-Self}}
|other_versions=
}}
