2015–16 Egyptian Premier League

Hello, Their is no rule to not do it after every match is finished. As long as matches are finished and are not still in-play then edits can be done. So no I won't stop. Skyblueshaun (talk) 19:29, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Arab World Cup

UAFA renamed the UAFA Club Cup to the Arab World Cup (a competition for teams from the Arab World) and the first edition will be in the 2016/17 season. See for yourself at the following links: http://www.masrawy.com/Sports/Sports_News/details/2016/3/5/763881/ http://el-ahly.com/Pages/News.aspx?aid=84261&ZID=3 http://forum.kooora.com/f.aspx?t=36164881 http://www.yallakora.com/ar/News/296612/2418

Please do not move this page again. Thanks Hashim-afc (talk) 16:46, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. I don't really know what else to say. Look at the links I provided above for yourself. The Arab World Cup is a cup for teams from the Arab World, that is why it is named this way. It is not an international competition according to the links above. Al Ahly SC

can you change the kits in Al Ahly from the old Adidas kits to the new sporta's ones , and add a kit evolution section ? another thing can you add waterpolo to the active sections of the club.. thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mosa1907 (talkcontribs) 10:36, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi there, thanks for the update for the Mahmoud Hassan article. Could you please add a source for your changes, i.e. the permanent move to Anderlecht? I haven't been able to find a reputable one – KingFut doesn't seem to fit the bill. Regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:48, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Okay. :-) I found something and added it. Cheers, Robby.is.on (talk) 14:22, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

Have some problem with {{wikinews}}?

Can you please explain why did you remove the {{wikinewspar2}} from 2016–17 Borussia Dortmund season (here)?
Agastya Chandrakant (talk) 09:31, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

@Agastya Chandrakant: Because i think that it's useless in this article, I've added a source for every transfer Borussia Dortmund has involved in, so there is no need for it. Ben5218 (talk) 14:57, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
The thing is, {{wikinews}} is to help readers. The Wikinews articles that I had listed accounts for the same!
Agastya Chandrakant (talk) 15:27, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
@Agastya Chandrakant:How is it helpful to readers if all the relevant information (and more) is already in the article and all the facts are properly cited? Merely asserting usefulness doesn't make it so. -- Ohc ¡digame! 10:00, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
@Ohconfucius: I hope you understand the difference of a news article and an encyclopedic article. As to point out, not everything is there, covered in the Wikipedia article of the Borussia Dortmund season 2016-17. If you actually follow a neutral point of view, read those articles, see the difference and stop being biased towards sister projects.

Speedy deletion nomination of KingFut

Hello Ben5218,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged KingFut for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Pyrusca (talk) 19:30, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

Transfermarkt

Since most of its content is user-generated, Transfermarkt is not a reliable source. Please do not cite the website in articles, as you did with Taher Mohamed. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 13:48, 1 September 2016 (UTC)

@Sir Sputnik: Okay. I won't cite Transfermarkt in articles from now on. By the way I've removed the source you've added (Soccerway) because it doesn't include the height of the player. Cheers, Ben5218 (talk) 05:48, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:28, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
