Bazarnick, Thank you for starting the article on William Gleason. It seems you didn't like some of my edits. I will revert a few of the later edits you made. Please do not take it personally. Understand that WP is a public medium and has strict rules governing what sort of things can be written and how they are written. Although Gleason may be your sensei, you do not have the right to monopolize his article. I see that you are new, and would encourage you to learn the culture of WP. Here are a few starter hints: words like "sensei" and "shihan" are not allowed when used as titles of respect, as we normally do in the dojo. Also, WP is not a directory or links collection, so phrases like "Shobu Aikido" should not be linked to an outside web site in the main article text if they can be wikilinked to an internal article. I would encourage you to start the article for Shobu Aikido (at this point, it is perhaps best as a redirect to William Gleason). There's a lot more :-) In any case, welcome, and I look forward to your continued contribution. Himatsu Bushi (talk) 18:57, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. The XLinkBot has nothing to do with me, and I'm as surprised by that reversion as you probably were :-) Take it as friendly guidance... Himatsu Bushi (talk) 19:04, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Aaaahh!! Please excuse my re-edits and I'm truly sorry. Hopefully I did not mess up your hard work - I sincerely invite your (and everyones') collaboration. As you guessed, this is my first use of WP. I did not notice your edits as such, thinking I was the only person working on this and somehow screwed something up. BTW, you're fast! Please help out this article.Bazarnick (talk) 19:07, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about it, and thanks for having a good attitude -- not everyone does. As for my speed, it was merely coincidence that I happened to notice the article while you were working on it (saw changes to Seigo Yamaguchi, which is on my watchlist), and that I decided to make some edits at that time, when I had other things I should have been doing around the house :-). I've answered your posting on my talk page as well. Himatsu Bushi (talk) 20:17, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page William Gleason (aikidoka) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bblog(?:cu|fa|harbor|mybrain|post|savy|spot|townhall)?\.com\b (links: http://www.shobuokugyo.blogspot.com/, http://www.shobuokugyo.blogspot.com/ (redirect from http://www.shobuokugyo.blogspot.com/)). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:59, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
