Auxlang comparison[edit]

Greetings! For what it is worth, I think the way you have been treated was very unelegant. A perfect example of "shoot first, then ask questions", if you ask me. Not the nicest way to welcome a newcomer! In any case, don't let this discourage you. There is plenty of other things to do. If you are interested in constructed languages, be sure be pay a visit to the Portal P:CL. There is a Wikiproject as well. Sadly, a general unfriendliness is something that happens quite often here. I don't think that has anything to do with power, mafia et sim. If you ask me, it is simply because wp.en has grown too big. Whatever you can think of, it already has a detailed article about it. I a person really wants to add someting of real value, he has to be an expert in the field. That can be pretty frustrating for those who aren't experts at all, or who have already written whatever they had to write. As a result, it looks like there are quite a lot of people around who spend most of their time peeing on other people's efforts, sticking tags everywhere, fighting articles about subjects they consider not notable enough, not verifiable enough, original research and whathaveyou. I hope you'll nevertheless find your way. Best regards, —IJzeren Jan Uszkiełtu? 20:09, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
