Jack Phillipps[edit]

Were you referring to the Jack Phillipps who managed the 1949 New Zealanders? CricketArchive has an antry for him. He played in one two-day match on the 1949 tour, against Durham. He is also mentioned in a couple of articles on Cricinfo. I would assume that someone who had managed a major tour would count as notable, though I don't know if it's ever been put to the test. Here's his obituary in full from the 1978 Wisden: PHILLIPPS, JOHN HUGH, C.B.E., who died on June 8, aged 79, was Manager of the New Zealand teams to England in 1949 and 1958 and of the M.C.C. side in New Zealand in 1960-61. A man universally loved and respected, he was a tremendous success on all these tours. I think his CBE establishes his notability, though it's not clear whether he got it for services to cricket or for some other reason. JH (talk page) 17:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirected?[edit]

I think you might have forgotten to do something in this edit. --Closedmouth (talk) 13:35, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
