List of Chinese cash coins by inscription[edit]

Concerning "List of Chinese cash coins by inscription", yeah thanks in advance. On the Mandarin Chinese Wikipedia I saw that there are lots of articles for individual cash coins by inscription, not so much here. After I'm done on Wikimedia Commons in the distant future I'll concentrate more on that. Do you by the way have any cash coins which have missing images? I'll be trying to upload more images of them to Wikimedia Commons. --Donald Trung (talk) 12:50, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Donald Trung:I haven't collected any old coins, all the pictures uploaded by me are photographed in the museums.--Baomi (talk) 12:58, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Baomi: concerning this question I am busy writing a reply but as I want to correctly explain the organisation and layout of the list it will take some time to expect it either very late today or sometime tomorrow as I am quite busy now and want to finish that whole (unplanned) "Da Ming Baochao" article. --Donald Trung (talk) 11:14, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kumo Xi cash coin[edit]

Hello @Baomi:,

Could you research if this Kumo Xi cash coin is authentic and if there is a better source to back this up? --Donald Trung (talk) 13:55, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Donald Trung:I didn't find any source of the Xi cash coins but some blogs. I don't think they are authentic.--Baomi (talk) 00:33, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest[edit]

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
