NPOV

May I prompt you to look at the Neutral point of view policy? For example, whilst it is certainly true that thousands of Protestants were murdered in 1641, it is not neutral to write this as though it were an isolated event, completely out of the blue. You need to cover the alternate view too - what went before? what led to such vituperation? and before that again? what was the wider context? (in Ireland, in the three Kingdoms, in Europe as a whole). --Red King 30 June 2005 10:13 (UTC)

Aughavey 30 June 2005 11:18 (UTC) I only mentioned the 1641 massacre in my edit. It was editied by Lapsed Pacifist to include the number 12000 and reference to getting land back.

My point was that you mentioned the original incident without context; LP added that context. Anyway, I just wanted to say that your recent edits have been better, showing more balance and context. You don't have to excuse the inexcusable, of course! --Red King 4 July 2005 23:18 (UTC)

Aughavey, if you find something in an article that you think doesn't conform to the NPOV policy, just edit it so that it does. You don't need to slap an NPOV template on everything. You've done this with Loyalist Volunteer Force and Ulster Volunteer Force – just edit them! Be bold! (But be aware, the Irish nationalists will be watching...!) Reverting pages

Lapsed Pacifist / Larne Gun Running etc.

Hello Aughavey. User Lapsed Pacifist has been vandalising many articles, contributing his republican "POV" to many (often, I'm saddened to admit, they are very subtle and quite clever). I have been trying to follow his edits (which have been going on for quite some time) and undo as much of his bias as possible. Please do not be afraid to edit anything that you feel is biased, particularly from this user (who I note has changed many of your edits). Jonto 00:03, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Proposed deletion of Ulster Scots eXperience

The article Ulster Scots eXperience has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability. Under any criteria. Including WP:GNG, WP:NORG or WP:NBAND. A Google search result for "Ulster Scots eXperience" returns all of 450 results. Mostly false-positives, YouTube videos, this Wikipedia article and its mirrors.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
