Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Template:List of Museums in Greece, by Tasoskessaris (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Template:List of Museums in Greece fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

Useless. Not really a template

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Template:List of Museums in Greece, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Template:List of Museums in Greece itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:51, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:AFRICA-egypt-suez region flag.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AFRICA-egypt-suez region flag.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:05, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Larissa city view.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Larissa city view.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 11:41, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your images[edit]

Hello. You re-uploaded Image:Larissa city view.jpg, which you had already uploaded a year ago under your old account AtanasioV (talk · contribs). At that time, your uploads included several items that were taken from the city website and which you falsely claimed as self-made or free of copyright. All your images were therefore deleted back at the time.

Please explain why we should believe you when you now again say this photograph is self-made. (For one thing, where was it taken from?)

Also, Image:LARISSA LOGO.jpg is most certainly not self-made; if it was, it couldn't be the official logo.

Blocked[edit]

I've blocked you for 24h because you have continued to upload images under false licensing claims. At least one image, Image:Archaeological Museum of Larissa.jpg, could be easily found on the net (for instance [1]) , I assume the others are also copyright violations. Please stop. Greek names in Bulgaria[edit]

Hi, please stop for a while and think for a second. On most pages, the Greek names you're adding are completely inappropriate (most names aren't notable because they're variants of the Bulgarian names, some of the names are not in current use (as such they belong in the history section, where they are already mentioned in most cases), and some I've come to think might be your own fabrications or very bad attempts at etymology.

It's not like I'm not willing to see Greek names here and there, just think about it and consider if what you're adding is actually of any value to anyone else but yourself. I hope there's not nationalistic agenda behind this because it's plain stupid. TodorBozhinov 22:50, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Was I too polite in saying "please, stop"? TodorBozhinov 13:40, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I hope I've made you stop for a second, I'll take some time to reply: I really doubt some of the names are the "official Greek name" because they haven't been in use since late Antiquity (I really, really doubt that one, for example). An encyclopedia is built on sources, and unsourced false etymology really undermines your efforts: the name Kameno comes from the Bulgarian word for "stone" and it's an obviously Slavic construct. I do believe there has to be some reason when adding foreign names to an article, especially en masse as you do: the place should have some relatively strong ties to that language, and in most cases the articles you've edited have very little to do with Greece or the Greeks. Most of the places haven't ever had a substantial Greek population and none of the places have one today. When there are no active ties to the language, I'd prefer to insert the name in the History/Names section or in the appropriate paragraph dealing with history or names: inserting marginal names in the beginning of the lead is WP:Undue weight. Thanks. TodorBozhinov 13:54, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Greek names in Albania[edit]

In addition to what Todor has to say, it is also inappropriate in adding Greek names across half of Albania, most of which have never had a greek population there. An Aromanian settlement, would possibly require an Aromanian name and not a greek one. Remember only in Greece are they "ethnic" greeks. PMK1 (talk) 06:58, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 25[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Pizza, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Greek (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
