Speedy deletion nomination of Kohaal[edit]

A tag has been placed on Kohaal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. I think that it would be helpful if you read our policy regarding verifiability and also our guidelines for citing sources. Please note that the Bains clan article falls within the scope of a set of sanctions that are applicable to some India-related articles. I have inserted the notice concerning those sanctions below. The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. Proposed deletion of Kohaal[edit]

The article Kohaal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG. Aside from the unreliable H. A. Rose, I can find no mention of this community at GBooks or JSTOR, nor any news references that discuss it or any non-mirror websites that are reliable. It is a name, per the numerous blogspot sites etc, but that's all.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
