Hi, please review WP:EL and WP:SPAM, you will see that the links you were willing to add are not acceptable. My concerns right now are that if I unblock you you might start adding these websites again. So I must ask: are you willing NOT to add these links, and to contribute to Wikipedia in other ways? -- lucasbfr talk 15:34, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I guess I dont understand why these links are not acceptable. They are reputable Hedgehog Orginizations that spend endless hours helping Hedgehog Owners and have dedicated their time to the betterment of these animals. Can you explain to me why they are not accepted please? ArchivingKitten

If this block is because of a troll using the names of Tony, Hitoll, or Jordell, he is not a legitamite person in the Hedgehog Community (he sells HH with out a required USDA License)and spends most of his time trying to break down the Hedgehog Community and by using slander and any other means he can, he reeking havoc. It is a shameof legitamite orginizations can not be put int he external links section because of hisl ies and deceit. Archiving Kitten.

Hey there. Firstly, may I ask that you sign your posts using ~~~~ which will add your signature and a time stamp to the end of your posts, so we can understand who is saying what and when it was said thankyou. Secondly, no the issue with the links you add are nothing to do with Tony, Hitoll or Jordell (whoever these people are). Wikipedia has strong policies on the adding of external links because on many occasions they are links to sites that in reality are not the kind of things that an encyclopedic entry should link to. I understand that this can be a little frustrating, and I hope you will take the time to read Wikipedia:External links and WP:SPAM so you can see a) what can and cannot be added to the article and b) what the problem is with people adding inappropriate links. If you can read that and still believe that the links you are adding should be there, then you must promise that you will address the issue on the article talk page in the future (i.e. you make a post on the talk page saying "I think the following links should be added" then other users will discuss the issue with you, and then actions will be taken following a concencus. I know it sounds longwinded but it is the best way to get on with things, and it pleases everyone. If we can trust that you have gotten your head around these policies, and can go about your editing in a less disruptive manner, I believe you can be unblocked happily. I appreciate that this all may seem a little unfair, and I am pleased that you have stuck around to help discuss the matter. You can reply to this message below, I will be watching. Kind regards, SGGH speak! 16:00, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are a lot of admin voices here, but let me just chime in and say that I can't see what's wrong with those links either, apart from that you were adding them in multiple sections and adding them back when others removed them. Since you seem to understand now, I'm unblocking you. I don't know much about hedgehogs or hedgehog groups, but if those links get removed again, the important thing is that you talk it over with the other editors rather than just restoring them. Editors undoing each others changes over and over just leads nowhere and gets people upset: see WP:3RR for one of the important rules about this. If you ever want to check if your edit has worked, and it seems like it hasn't, a good idea is to check the revision history by clicking on the "history" link near the top - if you see your name in the list, you've edited the page... and if you aren't at the top, someone else has edited the page since you did. As I pointed out below (before the block) and the request for admin help, I believed this was a case of ignorance, not true vandalism. I simply didn't know how to stop the user from putting the links back in the References and See Also sections over and over. The user obviously understands why the links were being removed now. -- kainaw 18:17, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's good enough for me also. But Mangojuice, don't forget to fill out the template properly rather than remove one of the {} tags, just so it's furfilled properly :) look forward to seeing you around the place Archivingkitten, ask any one of us if you need a hand. Hedgehog Links[edit]

Thank you for contributing to the hedgehog information on Wikipedia. Please note that external links belong in the section titled "External links", not "References" or "See Also". Also note that links to websites that are primarily commercial or lack notability are not allowed. See Wikipedia:External links for an in-depth description of this policy. -- kainaw 14:46, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry if the above was confusing... do not place external links in the "References" or "See Also" section of articles. They belong in the "External Links" section. -- kainaw 14:50, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Domesticated hedgehog, you will be blocked from editing. -- kainaw 14:55, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is your final warning.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Domesticated hedgehog, you will be blocked from editing. -- kainaw 14:58, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may place {{unblock}} on your user talk page to have the block reviewed. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. utcursch | talk 15:03, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Domesticated hedgehogs[edit]

You apparently have an interest in domesticated hedgehogs. There has been a sudden influx of users editing the article. I strongly invite you to go to Talk:Domesticated hedgehog and discuss the direction that you believe the article should take. I'm also inviting the others who have recently appeared. With a group of editors, it shouldn't take long to reach a consensus about the future of the article and get to work on gathering reputable references to get there. -- kainaw 23:58, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to your e-mail[edit]

Well, you've already been unblocked, and other editors have explained in detail the problem with your links. Cheers! utcursch | talk 15:36, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
