Your women's biographies[edit]

Hi there, Apae02, and thank you for contributing 15 biographies of women over the past two or three weeks, most of them rated C class. It looks to me as if you would be a useful member of WikiProject Women in Red where we are trying to chip away at the gender gap. If you are interested, you can sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. In any case, we look forward to many more women's biographies. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 10:13, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Gisele Thompson[edit]

On 24 August 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Gisele Thompson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that sisters Alyssa and Gisele Thompson are the first high school students to sign a name, image, and likeness deal with Nike? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Gisele Thompson. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Gisele Thompson), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hook update
Your hook reached 7,372 views (614.4 per hour), making it one of the most viewed hooks of August 2023 – nice work!

External links[edit]

Hey Apae02! Thanks so much for contributing to Wikipedia. I am so jealous you're interning at the Smithsonian Institution! I believe they had a Wikipedia internship program but as a non-US citizen, I was ineligible. I came across one of your edits on Erika Franklin Fowler and just wanted to inform you of a couple Wikipedia formatting "rules". Per Wikipedia:External links, external links should typically not be placed in the body of articles. This is why I removed your external links from the article. Likewise, per WP:LEAD, As a general rule of thumb, a lead section should contain no more than four well-composed paragraphs and be carefully sourced as appropriate, although it is common for citations to appear in the body and not the lead. This is why I removed the reference you added there as well. I don't want this to discourage you at all, just wanted to help you a bit! ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
