STS, copy/paste moves[edit]
Hi there,
I noticed you copy/pasted text at Science, technology and society to Science, technology, and society. I've undone this for two reasons:
The big thing is that to move a page, you cannot just copy/paste text. Every page has an edit history, and copy/pasting text effectively removes all of it (or rather, leaves it behind and starts a new one). There is a special function for moving. If you're using the default settings, see the tabs at the top, under "more", there is an option to move. That will move the page and all of the edits in the history of the page to the new location. A related issue is attribution -- while all content on Wikipedia is free to copy, use, modify, etc. it is copyrighted under a license that requires attribution to the editors who have worked on a page. For this reason, copying within Wikipedia requires attribution. More information on how to move a page here: Wikipedia:Moving a page. The other thing is that changing a page's title is typically a big deal and there needs to be a good reason for doing so. Adding an Oxford comma because of personal preference is only very rarely ok anywhere on Wikipedia (likewise removing one just due to personal preference), and the only reason to move a page based on such a comma would be if the comma is part of a proper noun. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 21:17, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
