The article Athena xenidou has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Andreas: you've done what is necessary to save the article from what we call the BLPROD, which is the proposal of deletion that I put in. Simply, there's a rule against biographies of living persons that don't have any references. You've now put in references. What I cannot say is whether the article in its current state would stand up to what we call and AFD, an Article For Deletion proposal. The concern here is the standard WP:NOTABILITY, which is basically the question of whether a person or thing is important enough to have its own Wikipedia article, and the standard for settling that is generally whether other, reliable sources are talking about the subject as a matter of significance. The references currently in the article are simply directory listings, and do not denote notability. If you can find newspaper or magazine articles talking about Xenidou, that would go a long way to protecting the article, even if they aren't in English.
Let me also recommend that you spend some time with the Wikipedia Manual of Style. That would help you understand what gets italicized, what gets bolded, what needs citation and what doesn't - a lot of the sort of little things that I've been trying to fix up in the article.
If you have any specific questions that I could help with, please let me know! --Nat Gertler (talk) 20:37, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
