Disambiguation link notification for September 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of 2018–19 NBA season transactions, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Basketball League (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:45, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Official NBA announcements[edit]

Please stop adding signings at List of 2019–20 NBA season transactions except when signings are announced by the team or league. They are not official (not updated) until this occurs. Rikster2 (talk) 03:34, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

RealGM isn’t a reliable source for these. It’s date announced. Rikster2 (talk) 13:00, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Bottom line, RealGM isn’t a useable source for this purpose. They get a lot wrong and they sometimes use imprecise terms. It’s by official announcement by team. Rikster2 (talk) 13:47, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The “Cavs Bleacher Report page” is not official. Literally the only announcements for a signing or trade used are the team official site, general NBA.com or the team official social media accounts (usually these come across on Twitter). Rikster2 (talk) 18:22, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop changing transaction dates[edit]

The dates are correct - it’s the announce date that is official (which includes NBA salary cap review), not the physical date a contract is signed. Further, GM is not an official source of record on NBA transactions, the league and team are. Rikster2 (talk) 19:13, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No, check the sources on the transactions. Poythress is the 20th, Dozier is the 21st. They are in the right order. Obviously there are a lot of changes that still need to be reverted. Rikster2 (talk) 20:23, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

September 2019[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to List of 2018–19 NBA season transactions. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. You’ve been told how transactions work. You need to adhere to consensus on these. Rikster2 (talk) 03:15, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

January 2020[edit]

Hello, I'm Bagumba. Your recent edit to the page Trevor Ariza appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —Bagumba (talk) 03:02, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Website" in citations.[edit]

In a citation, "website=" should not contain a url as this causes errors. Consequently, http:// or https:// should never used in this field. (see Help:CS1 errors#param has ext link). Your edit on List of 2019–20 NBA season transactions here added the https's back into article that I had previously removed, causing numerous errors on the page. --John B123 (talk) 20:30, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
