WikiProject Novels - Coordinator Election

Hello. To begin, every member of WikiProject Novels will be getting this message (the joy of macros) so if you wish to get in touch with me, please post a message on my talk page. I would encourage anyone who so wishes, to stand in the Coordinator Elections. If you wish to stand, please do so by 23:59pm, June 27. Voting will the continue to 23:59pm, July 21. Can everyone please check-out the Coordinator Elections page. Also, the collaboration of the month is The Tin Drum, so if you have any spare time, please check it out. And I apologise to the seven of you for whom this will be a repeat message. Regards, Alan16 (talk).

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Alan16 (talk) 02:34, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Alan, however...

I am a member of the musicians work group and am also trying to learn about computer images and sound clips, technical things that are related to Commons. I never thought I'd learn anything, but slowly, I am, however, it's leaving me with few chances to do anything else. I apologize; can you take my name off the Novels list? I aspired to too much at once it seems. Thank you. --leahtwosaints (talk) 02:44, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Novels Co-ord elections

Hi, Alan. Thanks for organising this; having done it before I know how much work is involved. I notice you hadn't decided whether to stand yourself. Can I encourage you to consider it. The more we have on board the better the project and easier that task for those who do get stuck in. If not, all I will say is thanks for what you are doing. Wikiproject Novels notices

Hey :). Thanks for placing notices and newsletters relating to Wikiproject Novels on my talk page, however, I did at one point remove myself from the list of those who would like to receive them. I would prefer not to receive them, so could you remove me from this list again, please? Thanks, TalkIslander 08:37, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Removing the user from the Novels project is not the same things as removing them from the Newsletter List. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 14:00, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Have a look here at the history of the Newsletter distribution Wikipedia:WikiProject_Novels/Outreach&diff=next&oldid=236221099 and you can see the users desire to be excluded from delivery. That is not to say they don't want to be part of the project. I didn't think removal of this was a good idea at the time and the use who made all these changes has since good into the dusk! :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 14:05, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
It does seem like a good thing to have. Any possibility of reinstating it? Alan16 (talk) 14:10, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey, seems I'm still on the list - got your coordinator message. Could you try removing me again? Cheers, TalkIslander 11:03, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

I want to remain a member, but I don't really want to receive the communications. After all, I only joined as a member of the Lemony Snicket task force - I'm not really interested in the rest of the wikiproject. Thanks, TalkIslander 13:26, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Rollback

I have 4 granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton | Talk 02:24, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Player Rankings

As my post on the talk page doesn't seem to have garnered any interest, I though I would ask a fellow active editor such as yourself (I've been admiring your work on the Roger Federer page in particular) what you think of my idea. It would be very easy to impliment, especially with the two of us dividing the load. Let me know what you think. Jom (talk) 23:48, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
