Akira, this is a message sent by Robert McClenon to all editors not suporting the United Macedonia concept. Anyone contributing to the deiscussion but not being in favour of Greek Kingdom has received this threating message. The only user who didnt receive was User:Luxure/Macedoniarulez. That is not correct. It has been my intention to send the alert to everyone. If I left you off, it doesn't mean that you are a nationalist; it means that I forgot you. I will try to explain the policy. Wikipedia has a scheme known as discretionary sanctions for problematic areas, including the Balkans, and Macedonia is in the Balkans. The Arbitration Committee can place certain areas in which there is habitual disruption under discretionary sanctions. Editors must be notified before sanctions can be imposed. Any editor who has been notified who engages in disruptive editing can be sanctioned. The most common sanctions are revert restrictions and topic bans. The best way to avoid being sanctioned is to edit collaboratively. Try to work out the naming and lede dispute reasonably, without trolling, edit warring, or allegations about motives. Dear Robert McClenon, the problem here is that users like Luxure are not willing to compromise. A compromise solution would be to use the ancient term of 'Hellenic' instead of 'Greek', as in, 'Ancient Macedon was an Hellenic Kingdom', and certainly ancient Macedon was Hellenic, that's not to say of course that Hellenic is not Greek, but someone has to draw the line somewhere. The response from Oxford University's Robin Lane Fox, a foremost expert on ancient Macedon in an email 23/9/2014 was as follows: "The correct answer would be Hellenic, the wrong answer is Slavic or non-Greek. This answer is only disputed by modernizing nationalists with, their own agenda the war is only manufactured noise. Robin Lane Fox".Unfortunately unless editors like Luxure come out of their trenches and accept a compromise solution / qualifier, nothing good will come out of this.AkiiraGhioni (talk) 14:59, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
