Request reason:

No one single individual (in this case authoritarian wiki user "HJ Mitchell") owns the right to determine what is true, or not. What is fact or not... The collective, does. Consensus, does. My edits, and additions, are valuable. My contribution is positive. It enriches the World view that Wikipedia attempts to capture. It aligns with the project's ethos. Mitchell's sudden, and irreversible censorship is not. Censorship harms plurality; and shapes our shared reality, in the way self-appointed authoritarians dictators like. A diversity of perspectives (often captured by my contributions) enriches the Wikipedia, and the World. I wonder if Mitchell is a white, heterosexual, Anglo-Saxon, privileged man...? Censorship, has been, throughout history, their (very effective) mechanism of choice; at the expense of all others.

Decline reason:

No one is determining what is true and false here, see WP:TRUTH. That's up to readers. You are free to believe what you wish. You do, however, have some grave misunderstandings as to what Wikipedia's purpose is. Wikipedia, and especially articles, is not for posting our personal views on any topic. That is what social media is for. There is no free speech here, see WP:FREESPEECH. As a private entity, Wikipedia can determine the content that appears on its computers for any reason or even no reason- just as you can determine what is said and done within the four walls of your residence. I cannot enter your home against your will and force you to hear my views on a topic. The same applies here. In examining your edits, the block seems very much correct. The race of any user is not relevant to this and I suggest you not play a race card again lest you lose access to this page. 331dot (talk) 09:07, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
