List of The Mentalist episodes[edit]

Please do not revert the season five colour to purple without discussing it on the talk page. The grey is a much more suitable colour and fits better with the colours of the previous seasons. Besides, the grey is only temporary until the cover art is released. You may have noticed that the colour scheme for each of the previous four seasons are designed to match the primary colours used on the cover art for the DVD releases. The cover art for season five will probably be released sometime towards the middle of 2013 and the colour will be permanently readjusted at that time. There's no point getting into an immature edit war over such a menial problem anyway. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 23:42, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is a collaborative community. If you're going to be a regular editor on this site then you're going to have to learn to work with others, not against them. Your edit simply makes no sense. You've given absolutely no explanation as to why the purple is a better colour except for some vague crap about asking a psychic (there's no such thing, by the way, all psychics are frauds) and you refuse to engage in any discussion about it. You're also hurting the page by only changing the colour on the List of The Mentalist episodes page and not on The Mentalist season five page. Why change one without the other? As for your most recent edit summary, Wikipedia has a strict no-tolerance policy on personal attacks (as you can see at WP:PERSONAL) and I think calling me a "stuck-up twat" qualifies. I have no intention of reporting you to an administrator or trying to get you blocked, but seriously, if you want to contribute to the site you're going to have to learn to get along with other editors and to justify your edits with more than blatant personal attacks. SchrutedIt08 (talk) 06:33, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wait and see, it'll be purple. Why? Do you think it'll be pink? I don't think so. Er, not all psychics are frauds, get your facts right. I am not personally attacking you, that is debatable, you're just not a fun person. I get along with people just fine, you are just making an issue about this as if it is the end of the world.

I don't think about what the colour will be, that's why the grey is there, as a temporarily fill until the official DVD artwork is released. Now if you're saying you have inside information and know that the official artwork is purple, then why not say so? Provide a reliable source that can back up your claim and that'll be fine. And I don't really see how you personally attacking me is "debatable". You flat-out called me a stupid twat. Pretty sure that's a personal attack. And on a personal note, I don't think it's really wise to use the words "psychic" and "fact" in the same sentence. They make a few observations, then pose them as questions and give you answers that are so broad and unspecific that they could apply to anyone. Sounds pretty fraudulent to me, but that's neither here nor there. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 08:41, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't have proof of what the colour is, but it is nice to speculate. And a personal attack is how you take it, call me anything you want. But I won't care, after all you're nothing to me. Maybe you should go and see a psychic then, to see what they know. And I don't see the point in putting infomation about yourself on Wikipedia, at least some of the stuff you've stated. No offense :)

December 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm SMC. I noticed that you made a change to an article, The Mentalist (season 5), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, SMC (talk) 11:45, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Mentalist season five[edit]

Look, I understand that you're kind of new to the whole editing thing, but if you're going to be a regular contributor to the site then you're going to have to accept a simple fact: there are rules and guidelines that have to be followed. Part of being a successful Wikipedia editor is collaborating with other editors, something that is going to be impossible if you don't familiarize yourself with the rules. I'm not saying you have to read every rule and guideline about everything, but brushing up on the fundamentals is a pretty good idea. You may think that I'm just ganging up on you, but it will be the same with other editors on other pages. If you can't accept the rules then you should ask yourself whether or not you belong here. Wikipedia is a community, editors work together to make articles as good as they possibly can be. Assuming good faith and understanding the rules are key to being a good editor. And to answer your inappropriately personal question, no I am not medicated. While you're familiarising yourself with the rules, make sure to read up on Wikipedia's policies about civilty. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 11:55, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
