Hi Jytdog. I did not publish any of the papers cited and I do not know any of the authors. I am working with a pharmaceutical company that is adding a drug to a biofrequency chip. The product is under review by the FDA and will likely be commercialized later this year. However I do not work for any of the biofrequency chip manufacturers. I'm fascinated by the technology and thought others might find it interesting as well. Thanks for replying. When you say you work "with" a pharmaceutical company, I don't understand. Who do you work for? It could be that you work for the pharma company directly or as a consultant, or that you work for a chip company or as a consultant to one. And which product is under review by the FDA - the drug or the chip? Please note that Terms of Use require you to disclose employer, client, and affiliation for any subject matter where you have a COI. Please be more specific. Thanks. Also, and separately, you mention "manufacturers" (plural) Would you please name those manufacturers? (this is separate from the inquiry about you) Thanks. I appreciate your interest in me and the company I work for. I use to work for big pharma but now I work for Solubiomix (www.solubiomix.net). Our company has ordered a biofrequency chip that contain a frequency of our drug and we are also adding the drug to the backside of the chip for topical application. The FDA is reviewing our drug along with the biofrequency chip dosage form now. We make the drug, not the chip, but we have to register both since it is a combination product. We only benefit from drug sales, not chip sales. If someone wants a biofrequency chip, they are going to have to go to a company that makes them and we do not benefit from any sales or administration of biofrequency chips. I don't know all the manufactures of biofrequency chips worldwide, but the one we are working with is in Massachusetts. I'm not sure if our company's agreement is confidential but I'll speak to management to see if I can disclose that. Again I or the company I work for does not benefit from the article and there are no links from my company or products to the site. thanks for your further disclosure. first, your company has a commercial interest in these chips; that generates a conflict of interest for you. secondly the solubiomix webpage uses the same template as the biofrequency chip company site. I looked them both up on godaddy. Please note that I am not making any claims about who you are in the real world, but rather about ownership of these two domains.

Hi Jytdog. I can't disclose something that isn't true. I'm not a paid editor and I am not the person listed in your reply. I have disclosed who I work for and neither I nor the company I work for benefits from the article. Think of the chip as a dosage form like a capsule, tablet, patch, etc. The company I work for doesn'tt have a commercial interest in the dosage form, just the drug that is delivered. To suggest we have a commercial interest in the chip is like saying we have a commercial interest in a capsule. My company didn't ask me to contribute an article - I chose to contribute on my own personal time. My intention of posting the article was to be helpful to others but it does not appear helpful to a couple of people. I welcome any modifications to ensure there is appropriate value and balance. I am willing to accept that no one asked you to do this (for all i know, you own the company and no one had to tell you)..but i am willing to accept that no one asked you to do this. and really, the "i did it on my free time" argument doesn't fly here.

key thing is that you are missing the point of the connection above. solubiomix and biofrequency chip sites are owned by the same folks - you included a link to the biofrequency chip site in your article and copy/pasted your first draft from it. perhaps you didn't know that the two companies are related. but they are. and clearly your company is tying the drug to a biofrequency chip. you and i both know that the FDA cares about the actual dosage form you bring to market. as you wrote above, you have to "register both since it is a combination product." that is how the FDA works. this product launch is tied to a specific biofrequency chip - so your company benefits, and so do you. you have a conflict of interest in Wikipedia.

think about this way - If you were a scientist and were publishing a scientific paper on the biofrequency chip, the journal would require you to disclose your COI. you would have to say that you work for Solubiomix and that Solubiomix is launching a combination product using such a chip. just so you know, i work with conflict of interest issues as part of my day job and i understand WP's COI guidelines very well, and help editors understand them. it is part of what i do here. and i am very familiar with the biotech space. So really, nothing you are bringing up here is strange to me. Most folks i approach with these issues, realize that it is not good for their company, nor for WP, to have undisclosed conflicted editing happening in WP. I agree Jytdog that there is nothing good that comes from a COI. It feels like I am on trial for trying to do something helpful, but I now appreciate the content on WP even more. You play an important and necessary role for WP. I am very sorry that you feel "on trial" and i acknowledge that it feels ... icky to have someone examining you like this. I don't know if you are more on the science or business or legal end of the business, but scientists are used to dealing with COI issues when they publish, as are lawyers, pretty much all the time as it is ground into them. Business people, not so much. In any case, I appreciate your patience in working through this with me, and am glad that you can see its importance. I acknowledge too that Wikipedia is incredibly "lumpy." The editors who volunteer here - as you have! - work hard to make this place great, but it is never good enough. Always a work in progress.

I don't think your article is going to survive AfD (I am sorry about that, and if you don't understand what the problems are, I would be happy to try to explain). If you decide to stick around, please do avoid articles where you have a conflict, and if you do want to work on articles where you have a conflict, please declare it, and limit your contribution to offering suggestions on the article Talk page, as described in [{WP:COI]].
