Image copyright problem with Image:AbujaAirportFroontsmall.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AbujaAirportFroontsmall.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

copyright released by ...[edit]

You removed the "no license" tag from a couple of images and added "copyright released by so-and-so" instead (still failing to add a valid copyright tag by the way). Could you please provide some more information on the nature of this release. Such as a copy or link to the statement from the copyright holder to prove that the images are indeed free to use for any purpose (or whatever license terms they agreed to). Thank you for trying to improve the section :)

I did remove "The contributor of this section is from a place where it is the norm for people to be killed because they are black, yet I do not see any reference to that point in his city" - Comments are to be made on talk pages.

The phrase seems to apply more to American big cities in general, while in Nigeria scamming tends to be done in specific areas in Lagos, Ibadan, and various places in the Igboland.

Speedy deletion of Olusegun Mimiko[edit]

A tag has been placed on Olusegun Mimiko requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{own}}, amending the {{information}} added by a third party, and by changing the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add |claimed=yes to the {{Media by uploader}} or {{Presumed self}} tag(s) if present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).
