Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. We are based in the offices on Exchange Quay and working for AJ Bell. As with many large companies we use a proxy for all our staff to access the internet. The Proxy service we use is called Zscaler. This I assume is being interpreted as a “Open Proxy”. We need to update the information on our company to better represent the image of ourselves and we will be doing this in the future. Please can you assist in allowing us to do so from this IP range 165.225.80.0/22. AJBICwiki (talk) 15:35, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You'll need to disable your use of zscaler if you wish to edit here. Additionally, WP:COI applies; generally speaking, you shouldn't edit articles about your company. Yamla (talk) 15:40, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Andy Bell (entrepreneur). I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Request reason:

We are based in the offices on Exchange Quay and working for AJ Bell. As with many large companies we use a proxy for all our staff to access the internet. With AJ Bell being a plc, it's important that we are able to update our information on our page to best represent the company to all users and potential investors.

Decline reason:

You have already been told that you will need to disable your proxy in order to permit editing. In addition, Wikipedia has no interest in helping your investors, aiding potential customers, or in what you want to say about your company. Those are all things you should use your own website for. Please read WP:COI. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:54, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Andy Bell 2016.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Andy Bell 2016.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:34, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
