April 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 12:02, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 3 months to prevent you from evading blocks.

Request reason:

What on Earth are you talking about? Evading blocks? 81.170.40.71 (talk) 11:51, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 12:59, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I don't even know what I've been blocked for. How exactly am I supposed to defend myself against that? I just keep hearing 'evading blocks' and before this was involved in a discussion with some editor who kept deleting my attempts to add a section to a talk page. This editor went on to accuse me of something similar and claimed I had been blocked. How am I supposed to defend against a lurid accusation of evading blocks followed by a swift block? 81.170.40.71 (talk) 13:29, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It is pretty obvious that you are the same user that was previously blocked for similar behavior. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:17, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It's pretty obvious something that isn't actually true is the case, is it? That's absolutely fascinating, friend. Why don't you enlighten me as to how exactly it's so (apparently) obvious to you. I have absolutely no idea what I'm reading here. What is this? You're suggesting this 'Cassandrathesceptic' is me? Why exactly? How on Earth am I honestly supposed to defend myself from a claim like this? What kind of joke is this? 81.170.40.71 (talk) 16:31, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Oh dear, oh dear. If I wished to try to list all the reasons why the truth is glaringly obvious, where would I start? However, of course I'm not going to do so, because that would serve no purpose whatever apart from warning you what blatant giveaways to avoid in future. Since your pompous unblock requests that fail to address the reasons for the blocks, here and on other talk pages, do nothing but waste administrator time which could better be used on more constructive tasks, I shall remove talk page access. (Incidentally, I think some of what you have said contains very valid points. What a pity you didn't choose to express your views in constructive and collaborative ways, rather than pompously and contemptuously dismissing the opinions of everyone who doesn't agree with you; you might have actually achieved some small part of what you have aimed to achieve had you taken a more constructive approach. But you won't take any notice of that, will you?) JBW (talk) 20:26, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
