Thank you, Peaceray. For the moment however, I prefer to keep on editing without an account. Cheers. 77.164.133.132 (talk) 20:29, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
One of the drawbacks of not editing with an account, is that it is not possible for other users to thank you for your edits, other than by adding a comment here. Thank you for your edits on Acacia mearnsii. Gderrin (talk) 22:28, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Much appreciated. 77.164.133.132 (talk) 22:47, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
A small comment. In taxonomic papers that deal with exhaustive synonymys, a list of misidentifications (if one or more exist) is often appended at the bottom of the synonymy of a name. The single fact that these names are listed at the end of a synonymy doesn't make them synonyms. I guess APC follows the practice of adding misidentifications to a synonymy, thinking that those who use their nomenclatural data will be well educated in this field and able to interpret them properly. 77.164.133.132 (talk) 00:29, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An addendum to my earlier reply[edit]

Hi there, went over your recent edits. Very good. You obviously know botany and have a specific knowledge on pre-linnaean botanists. I see that I did use the German site on pre-linnaean abbreviations, which clearly is not 100% applicable to Bauhin. I just want to say you could try to be less confrontational, it's great you found a few mistakes in my work or that of Chiswick Chap, kudos, but in five years in totality you haven't contributed close to the amount I put into that one article -if you had, I'm sure I'd find some mistakes! And that wouldn't be terrible! In my view, my edits have significantly improved the article, and your edits made it even better. The thing about internet is that there is always some weirdo who knows more about a specific subject than you ...so enjoy being smug about being that weirdo! This is not my home wiki. Beneath that, I used to contribute with an account and before that with a different IP. And if I would take 174 edits to expand only one article, my edit count would be much higher too. 77.164.133.132 (talk) 11:41, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
