This is about FUNCTORIAL programming, not functional programming... it is an ongoing active area of research also known as "Directed Type Theory" https://ncatlab.org/nlab/show/directed+homotopy+type+theory

This Wikipedia article is intendent as a gentle introduction and outline from the perspective where ordinary programmers can relate, but IT IS NOT A COPY of functional programming.
