Words of encouragement[edit]

Hi 1Mynamegoeshere1,

Just wanted to offer some encouragement and advice on how to improve the Draft:Cyan Banister article. It's not unusual for articles to be denied on first submission, because Wikipedia's notability requirements depend on reliable secondary sources. So even though interviews with the subject and presentations by the subject of the article provide information, interviews and presentations such as Banister's TechCrunch Disrupt speech are considered primary sources, relying on what the subject says. The reason for the requirement of secondary sources is that Wikipedia has no editorial board directing fact-checking operations, so we rely on publications that have reputable fact-checking methods.

So the task at hand is to find articles about Banister that have been independently fact-checked. I'll keep looking, too.

One more thing: draft articles that have not been edited for 6 months are deleted, so until more articles about Cyan Banister have been written, the draft needs to be updated regularly.
