Vulgar Latin[edit]

"weren't it different from classical latin there would be no specific article"

I would like to point out, that this is probably the first attempt ever to prove a scientific hypothesis by adducing the existence of a Wikipedia article as an argument. Unfortunately, the existence of the specific article in wiki, or its contents, does not prove anything about the features of Vulgar Latin, for that the Vulgar Latin is different from the classical Latin, is only a hypothesis, not a fact.

And, by the way, it is always good to take a look a the discussion page before doing blind reverts. You're editing the caption, and you don't know, that the image itself is about to be removed. Mamurra (talk) 16:28, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. You thought that it is obvious, but it is not. 2. For "edere", you are wrong. This word is not used before Tertullian, and so it does not exist in classical Latin, as the table requires. 3. Looking up discussion pages is useful to become aware of reasons for editorial decisions. 4. You edit Vulgar Latin once more against the evidence provided by Thesaurus Linguae Latinae, and I report your action to the relevant place as vandalism.
